I think we would be helping them. That was my point. The Government will be motivated to change. That will help Canadians.
Canada has been infected with Globalism, Climate Activists DEI and Big Government/Nanny State.
For people that love Canada that is very sad.
Yes, our auto business I believe 80% of what we build goes to the USA. The lumber transition from Canada to the USA has been happening for decades anyhow. I hope DJT sees that we are a good partner to continue importing energy from.
Tell me if this is complete BS but I have been told forestry workers in the USA are paid minimum wage. These are high paying jobs in Canada.
Right now Canada is in a leadership vacuum - it is the worst possible time to lack leadership. The Alberta Premier has been to the US desperately working to keep the tariffs off Albertan energy products. Trudeau called a prorogation of Parliament while they find a new Liberal Party leader. Doug Ford in Ontario has been making threats - which is going to get Canada nowhere, so please don’t pay any heed to that idiot.
By the Eternal, I will route you out!

Their richest province has a lower per capital GDP than Mississippi. They are losing ground fast. They are over regulated, lead by super liberals / greenies and it’s been killing them for 20 years. Very soon we will have issues with immigration from Canada to America. They also brought in too many immigrants driving wages down and costs up. All the Americans calling for single payer healthcare need to examine wait times for CT or MRI - it’s 6-12 months.
Unfortunately Canada sucks.
The number one producer and exporter of lumber is the US.
Trump is right, we don’t need Canada.
They need us.
Doesn’t matter where they grow.
The atmosphere circulates around the entire planet about every two weeks.
