“he will lower it from 21% to 15% if products are produced in the USA”

Perhaps allowing companies to deduct 120% of annual pay between $30,000 and $100,000 might be better idea.

Perhaps allowing companies to deduct only 80% of annual pay under $18,000 might be better idea.

“President Trump said we don’t need Canada for wood, for making our cars, etc. He pointed out that essentially everything Canada has, the US has. This presages some tough negotiations on tariffs.”

I don’t favor antagonizing Canada. The Canadians have comparable pay and regulations I believe.

“President Trump spoke about the use of ‘clean coal.’”

Fossil fuel power plants can be placed upwind of forests.

Trees love to eat CO2.

Redwoods could lock up CO2 for centuries.

Canada has lost it’s way. Trump’s aggressive stance will help Canada become great again. Right now it’s a mess.

“Prolonged delays for project approvals will end”

My paycheck seems 20% short!

Your permit review work is behind schedule, it should have been done in two months.

You’ll get the 20% when you are caught up.

Yikes! Trump is fully Big Tech/Deep State bought and owned!

Using emergency declarations to let the builders of AI facilities build their own, dedicated electricity generating plants right next door—so they don’t have to worry about our old and unreliable electric grid.

Says we’re going to need to double our electric generation—just for the increased need for AI.

What the h#)@ is he doing? CIA’r US?

I don’t favor hurting Canadian businesses and ordinary workers because of True Foe’s follies.

Are you going to put the power plants in the Pacific Ocean?
The redwoods ONLY grow right along the Pacific coast.

I understand the concerns, but I think Trump sees it, as the modern-day version of “The Space Race”. If we don’t get in front of it, the Chinese will.

“Using emergency declarations to let the builders of AI facilities build their own, dedicated electricity generating plants right next door—so they don’t have to worry about our old and unreliable electric grid.”

Our old, unreliable electric grids are likely to have to be used to charge slowly increasing numbers of EVs.

The AI companies should be able to see to their power needs in a manner the vast majority of us would hold to be reasonable.

I think AI is misnamed. It’s more like computer assisted information gathering and computer assisted decision making.
