I was just having some fun with you. Golly.
Sorry. I thought you were going to beat me up so I was planning to dash out the fire escape before the final school bell.;-)
I was in the nose bleeds for the 92 and 93 series games. The face value of the tickets were $30. That’s what I paid for them plus a handling fee. I still have the stubs or full ticket. Some I managed to fold so they weren’t ripped. I’m not even sure they print World Series tickets anymore. They certainly don’t for the regular season. It’s all done on your phone via an app these days.
If I had those season tickets I think I would want to see my team win the series
Besides that I think that there is some legal jeopardy in selling those tickets.
I think there is an obligations to only sell your tickets back to the team’s stadium ticket office.
And anti-scalping laws pretty much everywhere
That’s the first thing that hit me too.
“could have went”?
Is ebonics back in style?
I’m offended that people were offended. What are they going to do about that?
You are probably right about the editor job.
I think it is a foolish thing to do but now that news gathering and reporting is for the most part a money losing endeavor, makes it a near necessity.
And that money losing fact also means that very few news org’s can’t afford quality writers.
So, we had better get used to suffering the daily sins of poor grammar against the King’s English.
But since the King we have is Charles, maybe the suffering is not so bad or maybe it makes it so much worse.
I’m so old that my elementary school actually had a fire escape.
Mine too. And I used to think of using it when singled out for not doing my homework.
Remember this is the same party that said that words themselves are equal to physical violence.
What would the crazed left wing nuts do over President Trump in a
sombrero??
The cream will rise to the top without the interference of editorial office politics.
“First row behind home plate so you are on camera most of the game. I would say if it wasn’t a season ticket holder which would make her a Dodger fan the price for obtaining such a ticket would be a pretty penny.”
I slow motioned Freddie Freeman’s grand slam, and she stood up and clapped and smiled. So she’s a Dodger fan.
It will be interesting if she’s there tonight and wearing the MAGA cap.
Why does someone with poor language skill aspire to be a journalist?
Besides teaching, “journalism” is one of the easier degrees to get.
Regards,
Because I had a close friend in the Dodger organization I got to sit one time in that area in Dodger Stadium many years ago (row 2, IIRC) with Randy Johnson on the mound for the Diamondbacks. Can’t imagine the equivalent marketing value of having that hat seen throughout a broadcast of the first game of the World Series. Every pitch and swing televised by the center field camera
THE LAST TIME THE DODGERS WON IN A WALKOFF AT HOME IN GAME 1 OF THE WORLD SERIES, IN A LANDLIDE, THE GOP CANIDATE A HUGE VICTORY
It always amazes me when people go into a field they’re not suited for. There is a traffic reporter on the local radio station with a very irritating voice. Makes you wonder.
