Zelinski presented an absolutely unacceptable position to Trump. If it looks either like the only way to end the war will be to make Ukraine a NATO member or, supposedly, for Ukraine to go nuclear, we are giving Russia an irresistible provocation to go nuclear first. In other words, Zelinski’s proposition is a surefire formula for World War III.

This was widely seen as yet another evidence that Trump will shift the present ruinous U.S. policy toward Ukraine when he wins the Nov. 5 election.

Now Ukraine has all but kicked Russia out of Crimea; taken over an Oblast in Russia; and has almost destroyed Russia’s oil supply.

Meanwhile Russia has lost almost 700,000 soldiers and done nothing but try to kill civilians and blow up every building in Ukraine without making any progress in winning the war. And now the Russian propaganda says Russia is winning.

Did I mention Russia is killing POWs? And has taken thousands of kids from Ukraine to Russia?

I recall watching a video, filmed by Ukrainians and never denied by Ukraine, of them shooting Russian POW's in the back.

Russia has solidified its hold on much of the terrain east of the river - they never wanted Kiev. The men Zelensky forfeited in Kursk are never coming home - they are trapped and being picked off by Russians. The 700,000 soldiers  is the most accurate estimate of actul Ukrainian losses of their own men because they have lacked adequate air defenses, unlike Russia. No, the Russians never focused on civilians - that's why Kiev has a night life of movies and dancing etc. Pretty much everything the Ukraine is doing, like targeting civilians in Kursk or droning apartment buildings, you are falsely attributing to Russia. Zelensky is being abandoned by the west - now they just provide token support and lip service, but some countries are not even pretending to hear him when he speaks now.

NATO ran this war for the Ukrainian side, and they just aren't that good. NATO and it's puppet are losing, and Ukrainian men in the war are still needlessly dying because Zelensky doesn't like the optics of surrendering when his troops are surrounded.

This isn’t just about Ukraine. It’s other countries that are threatened by stronger neighbours as well. Saudi is already talking about acquiring the bomb because western weakness in confronting Iran. I’d rather that wahabbi riddled sandpit did not possess nukes, but I wouldn’t blame them for seeking to get them if they know they cannot depend on any outside help against Iran.
