That’s unfortunate.

On the other hand, now that I think about it, perhaps he was just adding visuals that the soldier’s description left out, to make it easier for the reader to envision the scene. I edited a book recently in which the writer said, “I fell and cut my leg.” I was able to contact her directly, as opposed to Ambrose’s situation; but I urged her to describe the rocky path, that she tripped over an exposed root, and that blood started staining her hiking sock and boot before her companion noticed there was something wrong.

“Based on the alarming new intelligence reports, the White House believed there was a 50% chance Russia would use a tactical nuclear weapon — a striking assessment that had skyrocketed up from 5% and then 10%, Woodward reports.

While we probably shouldn't believe anything in the book, it's worth noting that our intelligence agencies are a mess. That's one of the first thing Trump needs to fix.

In some cases, perhaps. Never-the-less, in the internet age, Ambrose has been shown to have also engaged in multiple instances of plagiarism.

All Leftist historians are suspect.
