Anyone who’s a bit surprised I have a bridge to sell them in Brooklyn.

There are no ‘blue states’, only blue cities overpopulated by democrat voters. Just take a look at one of those county by county red vs blue maps.
Been preaching that for a long time.
That’s why I put forth a state ‘Electoral College’. Every county gets 3 Electoral Votes. And I can be generous, in that, 2nd place can get 1 of the 3 votes. That system prevents a few cities and immediate suburbs, from running over the rest of the state.
Some, like a couple in the Northeast/New England, are pretty solid Blue. But even that, because of all the colleges up there.
College towns in. Western Mass will make it look Blue, until you meet the people that aren’t college professors or academics in others jobs.
Really sad.
Big problem here in Calif too. The coastal elites and big cities here always overcome the much more moderate and conservative counties in the more inland areas. The cheating and vote rigging games run amok in the more populated democrat areas too. They’ve managed to get de facto one party rule here because of all this.
