Most protests anymore, are not organic whatsoever and the few that are usually get co-opted. The upper middle class white kids that are ready to drink the kool aid on the latest woke cause aren’t down for any real struggle. Some of the kids who were provided tents and chairs actually wanted food catered for them!!!
So you’re right, cut them off. The only problem with that is, who is ‘in charge’, and what is there position on the issue.
If there are american flags at the protest, they will be shut down (and locked up). If their are flags with arabic on them, they will be catered to.
If there is a protest to stop congential males from participating in female sports, they will be shut down. Not true for the other side of the fence.
Etc. Etc.
The real problem in our current power structure is the right to unilaterally decide who has first amendment rights, and who doesn’t.
