The GOOD NEWS is that just south of Indianapolis where Freeper Charles Henrickson is the hourly forecast shows it will be only partly cloudy at Eclipse time so lets hope he gets a clear view of it. If he does, perhaps he will understand my own obsession with eclipses since I viewed one on a cloudless day years ago. (Or maybe he will still think I am a nut.)

I’m in an 80% totality area.

But very cloudy. When the clouds dud break some you could get a good view. The clouds act like glasses.

The various departments & agencies where emergency powers were declared sure made bank. Double overtime for standing around for 12 hours - cha-ching! They commenced to going off duty at 3pm.

I wonder how many eyes got damaged by cheap, ineffective ChiComm sunglasses.

Socked in where we were, but God smiled upon us and allowed a few peeks.

It was an awesome sight.

We decided after the 2017 eclipse which we saw totality that we’d be going to this one too. We chose to go to a friend’s house in Cleveland area. He was one mole from dead center of the path. Everyone said it would be cloudy and we’d need to go south. But did we listen? No!

It was near perfect. A few light wispy clouds but that’s it.

The 5 1/2 hour drive took almost 11. Glad I took a vacation day today.
