thank you for pointing those things out- yep- she is a democrat through and through-
Democrats are probably begging TRump to pick her so that a dem can lead the nation if old age catches up with Trump in the next 4 years
This is a variation of the RFK Jr. debate—except Tulsi looks and speaks a lot better but does not have the Kennedy name.
People in politics can adjust their views to meet political necessity.
Obviously there is no guarantee they will do so or remain loyal to those who supported them.
There are no easy answers with this stuff.
Good point.
I heard something last week that makes sense. The assumption is that if Trump wins, they will do all they can to get him out of office. The only way to prevent that is to pick a VP who scares the deep state worse than Trump does.
There is a certain amount of truth to that.
[[and we need to have a serious conversation about the most effective and humane ways to compassionately secure our borders]]
We already have compassion on everyone who attempts to come here legally- we have a very generous legal immigration process- the people pouring over our borders are breaking our laws- we need to shut that down- but as far as compassion- We have always had compassion for legal immigrants
Gov Abbott
Gov McMasters
Gov Burgham
For a few.
What about you? Is Tulsi your choice?
Yes. Jean was a gem. I was disappointed Reagan did not appoint her as Sec of State in his second term.
The HW Bush gang didn’t want anything to do with her. Figures.
You can’t judge a book by its cover. She’s got a fine cover, but inside she’s got nothing but left wing politics.
it’s easy enough for me- she is for many things i and my party are against- her votes have proven that- in my book she is a no- We have solid republicans that can be picked- we don’t need to wade into the swamp of liberalism to find candidates- whiel she does oppose some liberal ideas, she is for far too many that really go agaisnt our party’s ideals-
Ben Carson is a good guy with conservative values. And he would bring in more votes from one side of the isle.
Yes but it was an incorporated territory. American Samoa is an unincorporated territory. Tulsi is a US National. As a citizen of Samoa she is in no way close to being a Natural Born Citizen.
“One false flag to justify action and it will involve overt NATO troops. The VP has no power to stop it.”
Today’s VP, maybe. But Trump is inclined to stay away from Ukraine to begin with and both of them are VERY FAMILIAR with what the Neocons did to trick Trump into bombing Syria (a false flag chemical attack). Trump/Tulsi WILL NOT get played - although just about any other Republican would get played.
Historically, the VP is not announced until the convention. That’s more important than ever because there are no longer any surprises at conventions. There is never a platform fight, no insurgent candidacies, etc.
Announcing your VP at the convention brings maximum drama, news coverage and eyeballs to the TV.
The democrat convention is in July and the republican convention is in August.
I tend to agree. The other thing I think about a lot in Tulsi’s favor, is that Im not sure this presidency should really care whether it’s” Republican enough’ or “conservative enough” to build for the future. The fact is, “conservatism” seems to mean a whole lot of nothing these days. And as a “conservative” Id be content hanging out with an old school liberal and hashing out differences but agreeing we don’t want statists ruling us or the constitution being torn asunder. we don’t debate any of the core issues that the left and right used to argue, so me being a conservative or a liberal is secondary to the new duality: “Are we subjugates of the state? Or is the state a subjugate to its citizenry?” That’s a concern that members of the traditional outposts of “Left” and “Right” are currently bonding over (witness Russell Brand and Tucker Carlson for example.) and at the same time, it’s where “conservatives” are fracturing. I know I certainly have more in common with Tulsi Gabbard than Jay Nordlinger or that wanker Charles Cooke over at National Review.
So if I’m correct that this new bifurcation is the way we need to look at politics for the next 10-20 years, I see no reason why a Tulsi VP pick has a lot of potential.
Barry Goldwater, born in the Arizona Territory, was the Republican Presidential Nominee in 1964.
She’s also a Hindu
“The only woman I would have ever considered was Jean Kirkpatrick.
I’m 80.”
I liked her too, sir! As I recall, she was a Democrat, but Reagan could spot a pearl in a field.
Tulsi for VP though? Something else. Same for RFK Jr.
Tulsi Gabbard will not be the pick. This is pure media manipulation by PDJT. He’s really good at it, in case you hadn’t noticed. He gets people talking about him and he maybe picks up some votes just for having (supposedly) considered her.

I wonder if she still thinks Trump is Saudi Arabia’s bitch.
more disinformation being pushed by nevertrumpers...
and again, it was the ingraham audience that suggested names for v.p., and Trump just said they were good, vs Trump saying the names of who was on his list.
Of course, facts won’t stop nevertrumpers from using this to try to kill support for Trump, in favor of biden being re-elected.
