I read a Si-Fi book about fifty five years ago in which a group was planning to blow up underwater cliffs blocking the Gulf Stream, to allow it to flow north and melt the Ice fields and raise the ocean levels.

Wish they would make up their minds to global warming or a coming ice age, all caused by people!
