In the Moscow region, the first victims of frost were a pensioner who froze to death in an apartment without heating, and a child who was killed by an icicle.
The heating situation in the Moscow region remains difficult. Unfortunately, there are the first victims. This morning in Podolsk, the body of an elderly woman was found in her own apartment. She had frozen to death about a day earlier, and her relatives had come to visit her after she stopped communicating.
Another tragedy occurred in Balashikha. There, representatives of utility services decided to clean the roof of one of the houses from icicles. They knocked down the icicles in a safe place - not opposite the front entrance, but at some point they hit too hard and the icicle in front of the entrance doors came off.
At that moment, a mother with a 5-year-old child came out of the front door. The girl was killed on the spot and died in her mother’s arms before the ambulance arrived.
Investigators are looking into why the entrance was fenced off with red tape, but no warning about high-altitude work was posted inside.
Meanwhile, hundreds of houses in the Moscow region remain without electricity and heating. And this is in severe frosts. The system cannot withstand the load, and residents are advised to go to relatives for at least a week. Governor Andrei Vorobyov’s team does not have time to cope with the consequences of the accident.
The President’s daughter , Ekaterina Tikhonova, is rumored to have hinted to her father that money for repairs and maintenance of public utilities might have been stolen.
Evil tongues are hinting that Tikhonova is already preparing her man for the governor’s chair. But for now, Shoigu is defending Vorobyov, trying to keep him in office.
