Don’t know if he was correct or not, but his theory was certainly plausible.
The theory could be tested by the scientific method. But, in today’s uber-woke world, I can’t see how you’d ever be able to conduct such a study.

My District Judge dad used to enjoy the occasional riot button test days. There was an emergency button under the Bench that brought half the Sheriff’s deputies, from downstairs, running into his courtroom. I think he only needed to use it once. This judge didn’t stand a chance.
Last thing I knew, Judges have the authority to enforce restraining laws while perps are in the courtroom. I worked in NY State Corrections. If a Judge ordered you to take the cuffs and leg irons off an inmate in the courtroom, it was mandatory that you comply, even if you weren’t comfortable doing so. If she had the authority to order such restraints, and failed to do so, then the attack is on her.
Too bad the judge didn’t pull our her sidearm to neutralize the attack.
because it was a judge and not some innocent citizen, he will get the book thrown at him and unlike any normal situation where a policeman hitting someone would result in the policeman being charged with a crime, the court reporter that hit this guy will rightfully be declared a hero.
True. Judges are a major part of the problem today. Giving the guilty another chance at a fresh start——to find fresh victims among the populace.
However, I have no idea about this judge and will assume she is innocent until proven guilty.
