Congress has the power of naturalization. It has no power under the Constitution to force a state to accept non-citizens except on necessary and proper military service under federal law.
It is my understanding of the Constitution that Texas does not have to allow non-citizens civilians into the state or to remain in the state, even if they were sure to be killed if they were to be in Mexico for a mere one second more.
If Congress wants Señor Conquistador to be able to live and work in Texas, it can make him a citizen.
If Congress wants Señora Refugee to be able to live and work in Texas, it can make her a citizen.
Texas has the constitutional right to ask the US government to remove all invaders and have the US government do so in a prompt and efficient manner. US ratification of a treaty such as the Convention on Refugees that would infringe on that right is unconstitutional.
Isn’t that crazy? I feel like I’m reading a poorly written Comic Book. The stories, they are not plausible!
Malfeasance is a prosecutable crime for a police officer or agency head.
Paxton needs to get grand jury indictments of both Garland and Mayorkas on state charges.
Fani Willis has set the precedent hat federal officials can be charged for actions involving a state. So do.
Let any court try to enforce a law prohibiting a state from defending it’s borders.
Good luck.
F’ing tyrants in black robes!
Do it Pedo Joe.
Fedgov isn’t doing its job. It falls back onto the states and people. The state has to protect its people when fedgov refuses to do its job.
States are sovereign entities. Fedgov derives power from the states. If fedgov refuses its job using those derived powers the state will take that power back and do the job protecting its citizens.
The state has its own armed forces in the guard units and militias. They certainly can do and use them in emergencies.
The Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, like Mexico are using migrants as weapons.
This is most unfortunate, but Western democracy must not be undermined by the misuse of illegal pawns.
I think Texas is able to stand up to the Federal Government. But they're afraid to.
The Biden regime has been its own part 4 in real life.
No matter by what manner, putting persons on an illegal path to cast improper ballots leading to electoral victory and the voiding of valid democracy is wrong, reprehensible and dangerous.
“regularizing”
Who talks like that?
Well isn't that just peachy. Guess Mexico is going to build a wall.
Shut down all traffic coming from or going to Mexico; no products allowed across the border, which includes products made by US companies in Mexico. 100% tax on all money sent to Mexican addresses. Their government needs to fear us again.
Where the F is the gop?? Pass a bill that stops this, do something!! Troops to the border, this is life or death!!
bttt
FOAD, Feds. At least my state has the cojones to do what protects its citizens.
Shoot the coyotes.
Texas needs to play by the New Rules put forth by various confederate prosecutors and INDICT Every Person in the Executive Branch, Arrest, Prosecute and Jail them all.
Agreed.
The constitution is clear on this matter.
Texas cannot write or enforce its own immigration laws.
Having said that, they CAN enforce current existing immigration laws, the ones that the fed refuses to enforce.
They can arrest and imprison those that are so called undocumented.
I don’t believe they have to power to send them back, but they do have to power to send them elsewhere.
The money that they are spending on feeding and housing them can be turned into a lot of bologna sandwiches and school busses.
