This is rubbish. She was urging the outsiders to come there to campaign — a legal exercise of free speech — not to vote illegally.
The comparison to Hart is that the Hart people denied there was any affair—and got away with it for a while.

Lee Atwater made sure the story did not just “go away” by cleverly setting up Hart for an unintentional photo op with Donna Rice on a boat called “Monkey Business”.
It is all about perception.
I am convinced Casey DeSantis blunder is a dagger in the heart to the campaign.

If she wanted people there to campaign, she would have said that. She wanted them to participate, not campaign.
