I sure hope you didn’t get any of what Houston got!!!
I didn’t bother with them in the bedroom because I had blackout curtains, and I never wanted to raise or lower the blinds. Now, I need to. So I’ll talk to him today.
If Chip ever comes out of his tent, I’d like to be able to raise the blinds in the living room so he can sit in the window. Chuck said he’d do it. But it isn’t necessary because Chip is still hiding.
Still...
Good morning. Happy Friday!
F-I-L managed to push every one of his daughter’s buttons yesterday. I’ve been hearing about it since then. Some of it is legit. Other parts are past issues she just won’t let go of. Then again, he’s not my father so I don’t really know what it’s like.
The Princess gets groomed today. She’ll love being cooler.
Not a great Wordle day. But it’s better than an X.

I’m so sorry about the Buttons being pushed. That is often difficult to deal with as an onlooker. I hope things improve over the weekend.
It’s going to be 100° in Hooterville, today, and even those extra seven degrees sound luscious to me! I suspect even a really short clip wouldn’t help The Precious Princess feel any cooler.
Good job on the Wordle! I’m wondering if I should go back to playing, just for the mental exercise...
No, thankfully that missed us!
Good Friday Afternoon!
Very glad that we didn’t have anything beyond ‘normal’ thunderstorms yesterday... it was a pretty bad spell for the Houston area...
CenterPoint Energy which is the main provider down there reports that over 750,000 are still out, and over 200,000 have been restored... some of the restoration is likely to take several days based on the transmission line and tower damage...
This starter word seems to be working pretty well of late...

Have I mentioned owrk has been very busy?
👍🏻
And thanks for checking on me!
I’m glad you’re all OK!
(I promise not to complain about any weather!)
Sweet!
Good morning. Did you sleep well?
Have you anything planned for today?
I need to fix some breakfast, then get dressed. I wanted to sleep in today, but I had to make a pit stop. The days I want to sleep in, I can’t and the days I have to get up the alarm wakes me. My body...
Good morning. Not bad, thanks. My alarm went off at 5:20, and I was thinking about not getting up, but Jake had other ideas. I’ll have a nap later.
DP and I are going Uptown this evening for dinner and a bluegrass concert.
Going anywhere for a bluegrass concert sounds good to me! I hope it’s a very pleasant evening for the two of you!
When I grew up, most of the radio stations we could get had a variety of music, including bluegrass. I miss those stations! LOL!
I need to write to Charlie, since he was so kind and sent me a birthday card. He always adds a short note to his cards and this time was no different. I don’t think he ever got the hang of cursive, though.
One of his little asides, in red pen, was “You are Susposed To leT caT pick you.” [sic]
He has NOT lost his sense of humor!
One way or another, the cat picks you.
Thanks! (No problem with complaining about the weather as far as I am concerned, I do it almost all of the time!) 🤣
Even if the cat is just so content he never moves from his tent, they pick us, “one way or another”!
Jim has finished installing the A/C and he did an excellent job. He looked at the one in here and said it was inefficient because of the way it was installed. He also said he would work up a plan and let me know the cost. (The job in the bedroom was as a favor to Chuck.) He said the particle board currently in this window will not last long. It needs to be wood, but he can use scrap wood.
At any rate, I told him there was no rush. It may take him a while to find the scrap wood, anyway!
The ceiling fan in the bedroom helps to distribute the cooler air since the unit it a top vent rather than front vent like this one. I’ll see if I can make that work in here!
I’m really glad my Real Brother moved from Humble/King Wood/Houston to CO! I was always concerned about him when he was living in Harris County, but he said they “lived on a hill” so he wasn’t concerned about flooding. But I was concerned about hurricanes. Weather!
I think it will be great if you get a better installation of your other a/c. It can’t need a large piece of wood.
No, it doesn’t need much of a piece, and Jim is good. He’ll install it better, as well. Maybe I can ask him to help with the back storm door when I’m able to get one from the Re-Store. I hope I can get that before the next winter sets in.
