Good morning. Much better, thanks. I went to bed just after 8:00, after removing Jake, and got up at 5:20 when my alarm went off, feeling human again.
I had a church committee crisis yesterday, but that has stabilized for now, and then there was an Envirothon crisis, but we got that sorted out.
On Monday, I’ll have to do some guidance with the middle school girls’ team, but it’s nothing a Scout leader (and mom of Sally, the Drama Queen of them all) can’t handle.
“We trudged her walker back up from the basement and told them to stop putting it down there.”
Gosh, you think?
Good job on the Wordle, and I hope your parents-in-law have a better day.
Oh man, I’m so sorry.
How are you doing, nully? Still buried in snow?
I’m so sorry to hear about your M-i-L falling. That’s pretty hard to deal with. I hope she’s doing better today.
Wordle looks much better today!
I wanted to sleep in this morning, but my eyes!
Yeah, if you can handle Sally, the Drama Queen of them all, you can handle anything! Good job!
Pretty well, snow is melting and subliming, we have large patches of lawn peeking through. I’m comfortable outside in a tee shirt.
Mom is still failing, now talking to dead relatives. Doing much better after her UTI treatment, but unsteady on her feet, nearly fell on the CNA yesterday. The dermatology oncologist is very pleased with how well she’s healing from her latest surgery, very pleased.
Glad to hear about the dermatology healing, anyway.
It’s tough to watch them go so slowly.
That sounded like a nice dessert!
Good Morning!
I didn’t realize that M-I-L was having some real issues as well... are they getting close to needing some kind of assisted living arrangement?
A bit better on the Wordle front here...
Wordle 992 3/6*

And now we have little flakes of white crap falling from the sky...
I am just realizing how much of an impact that UTIs can have on the elderly... F-I-L had one not too long ago and it really had a huge impact for a couple of weeks... and that was with getting treatment fairly early in to it....
Yup. I suspect that a lot of dementia diagnoses are missed UTI diagnoses.
Dad would get squirrelly whenever he had a UTI, so I am very tuned in to looking for it.
Typical survival time on home hospice care is six months, mom has been on for over a year.
Every day is a gift.
Indeed, it is.
Panic attacks suck... I hope your day is better than the night was.
We have that on tap for tomorrow. Been sneaking in bike rides on my Triumph in between “ice on street” events.
Being able to ride in Jan-Mar up here is an opportunity I refuse to pass up... :-)
We’re trying to keep them in their home as long as we can, but I’m afraid we’re very close to discussing assisted living.
We can consider in-home help but I’m not sure they will accept that any better than assisted living. After all, they don’t need any help. They’re fine.
Thanks. They were common during menopause, but not so much now.
