Such a beautiful cali!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night’s rest after your birthday celebrating.
I woke up to either a skunk outside my window (rare) or some very foul-smelling coffee, but it’s still in my nostrils.
I’m anxious to get started on the closet this morning, but it will still be a while away. I’ve got to get dressed, first!
I’m going to nag Chuck to take the doors off the closet in the hallway and the one in the bedroom. The one in the bedroom doesn’t close right. If one side is flush with the wall, the other side is bowed. I’d rather just have curtains up.
Good morning. Maybe someone walked past your window smoking marijuana.
Bad night with Jake. I’m going to put a meal in the crockpot and then maybe take a nap. There’s nothing on the calendar except Frank’s playing D&D at the library at 2:00 p.m.
No, first of all, the smell of marijuana is like the smell of burning weeds/grasses, and second, the person would have to be blowing the smoke in my window from two feet away. And no one in this complex is going to come to the far end of the cul-de-sac to smoke a joint. Not when they have their own hugh back yard! (All the back yards look like mine, to the brick fences.)
I’m sorry about your night with Jake-the-Disturber. And yes, you should go take a nap!
I just finished getting dressed, so it would appear I have the S-L-O-W-s. I came out of the bathroom and found daylight coming through the blinds in the living room.
We’re supposed to have a sunny afternoon today, a sunny tomorrow, and rain and overcast next week. Winter in the desert.
I’ve been thinking about doing the closet for several days, but I have to wait until I feel up to doing it or it just won’t happen. So today is the day!
Ahh, almost there!
It’s getting close to naptime. I just need to wait another 45 minutes and turn the crockpot down to Low.
Indeed!
It’s got everything it needs for the moment, but some things will need to be purchased from a purely practical point of view. Steering wheel cover, (desert heat!) locking gas cap, spare tire cover, (to help hide the spare key) seat covers and floor mats. Other things require installation by professionals, so they will have to wait.
Now, however, I need to get to work on the hall closet!
(And yes, I’m anxious to drive!)
*whew*
That took about twice as long as I thought it would, but it looks so much better!
Now, I’m going to have some lunch and then retire to the living room and see if I can find something interesting to watch - something I can learn from.
Lots of stuff to go out to the dumpster, but the wind is blowing and it’s cold, so I’m not sure I want to go out in it.
I had a nap. Tom showed up to do his laundry. In my dream, the washer was a bulldozer leveling the Carters’ house next door.
Did your nap last long enough to do you any good?
The wind has been blowing hard all day, so far, and I don’t want to go out in it all. I have to take the trash out, but I may wait until Monday to do that.
I tried to text Annette about a ride to church, but the text didn’t go through. This place is sometimes in a sinkhole for local texting.
Yes, it was okay. I still feel stiff, but not exhausted.
Well, I guess a little rest is better than no rest at all.
I didn’t realize that I had put so much work into organizing the hall closet today, but since I mostly sat for some of the afternoon (it took until almost noon for me to do the work in there!) until I sat down to watch TV. Then I began to yawn.
(I’ve been listening to the wind and wondered if my utility bill would be as high if the storm doors were on this place. I may have to find the ReStore in St George and go in after them myself, rather than wait for Chuck to do it. I shouldn’t have to apply for an energy grant because someone isn’t able to do his job.)
I finally got Annette and she said she would pick me up in the morning. My foot is pretty swollen this afternoon, (no doubt from standing) so I don’t imagine it will go down enough overnight for me to get my fat foot into the loafers. Maybe next week!! :o])
Maybe you can drive at midweek. Good luck!
Maybe!
It’s 27° out, but at least the wind isn’t blowing. The high today will only 46 Fs, so not very warm at all.
I slept through the night, waking up once to turn over. What a good girl I am! :o])
Other than going to church, the only thing on today’s agenda is to sort clothes for tomorrow.
Good morning. I’ve been up for a while, but I was working on kitchen stuff. The dinner schedule says “chicken soup,” which means I had to cook the chicken.
I’ve had my shower, but the blouse I was going to wear has two little buttons in back at the collar, and the closures are loops. I could feel the buttons with my right hand but not the loops with my left hand, thanks to that nerve damage from last spring.
So I spent 15 minutes trying to find another blouse that would go with the outfit I chose, and I’m still not satisfied. I suspect I’ll change it again before I’m through. Something red, no doubt, instead of the denim blue of the blouse.
Chicken soup sounds good! I thought about making corn chowder yesterday, when I was cleaning the closet (which is now a pantry) and might do it when I get home. Or maybe I’ll wait until tomorrow. It will still be February tomorrow!
That kitty’s gonna ‘tack you!
Good morning. You’re up early so you must have slept well. I hope!
I’ll have to go finish getting dressed in a bit. I’ll get up at 0400 on Sundays until I can figure out how long it takes me to get ready, what with my hair the way it is. I’m sure it will be easier when I’m driving myself because I won’t have to stand out in the cold at 0840 and wait for a ride to show up at 0850.
My house has been making funny noises since I got up, and I can’t figure them out. Fridge or baseboard heater. Or poltergeist.
I shut Jake out of the bedroom last night. He knocked, but we ignored him.
I can’t wait for you to be driving yourself everywhere!
I’m anxious to do that, myself!! It’s been a long time. It will also give me an excuse to go to Walmart and see what wonderful things they have, instead of just ordering the same ol’ stuff online.
And I can go to Smith’s in St George and get my sesame crackers and raspberry bars!
I’m a little nervous about the first time, but it will be fine. One doesn’t forget how to do it!
