How many people in your country die of rabies? There surely can’t be more than a few. In the US years may go by without a human death. There are usually one or two. The cost/benefit ratio doesn’t seem to work out here.

I know there is no cure for rabies once it gets established, but people who are exposed to the body fluids of a rabid animal can receive injections to prevent it. I’ve had them myself when I was bitten by a bat.
