The democrats favorite saying is “We love it when a plan comes together”. Every thing, every unintended consequence, every misery that happens to your standard of living is ALL part of every democrat plan. Never forget that every person that votes for ANY democrat is your enemy. Period.

I watched oil prices over the past few days rise...and rise....and continue to rise. People very seldom look at the prices of crude oil and are shocked when the price increases start showing up at the pump and then in other goods and services.
Increased oil prices are inflationary. Biden’s handlers are marching forward with their war on oil. Oil goes up. So does inflation.
this is like commie Russia...the "party" people get everything....
well, there will be consequences...
I just am going to become one of those people in the hand out lines....free food, bus passes, free health clinics, and whatever else they can come up with...
boomers have had 50 yrs to pay taxes and now they, we, are going to find out that its all been for nothing....

And that, right there, is Schroeder’s problem. Social Security was never meant to ne anyone’s sole means of support but as a supplement to other income.

Like what, a 401K? I remember when they rolled those out. I was working in a restaurant and the Boomer college students were chatting about it. Then Roth IRA came along. Compounding returns are great and one of the only hedges against inflation besides real estate. A savvy co-worker of mine keeps saying he wished he’d stuck all his spare money into an IRA in his 20s.

For example, the emancipation of slavery was a great thing... but turning about 2 million people into US society without any plan for assimilating them or easing their move from slavery to citizenship, created most of the problems we see now.
Failure or refusal to assimilate is at the bottom of all problems any group has in a new country. It makes entry to the middle class and possible elevation out of poverty, so much more difficult.
Apply that 'lesson' to the current 11 million (they SAY) new arrivals to the US who have even less means/inclination to assimilate, and guess where that puts the already diminishing middle class?
