It’s truly amazing to read the comments of folks that are cheering on this war. Not one of you is willing to acknowledge all the broken treaties. Anything about how the Ukrainians treated the people in the Donbas is all Russian propaganda because how dare anyone accuse Zelensky and the Nazis of doing anything wrong.

I think that if you checked the stats, you would find that Russia is the second biggest target for immigration in the modern world (after USA). I checked this out when Obama made a similar claim, years ago. I’m sure this has been affected by the war, but probably not as much as you would think, as non-citizen immigrants are not eligible for conscription.

The flip side of this is that not so many are illegal, because Russia has a program where people can get a work permit (called a “patent”) pretty easily, and the program requires a certain amount of tax to be paid in advance, monthly, regardless of actual employment status at the moment.

Ukraine had/has a right to make deals that favor it, and making deals with the enemy is the same as no deal.

Any country will make deals that strengthen it, and with the UK and Germany and the U.S., they couldn’t do better.

Expecting Russia to attack should always be on the radar of any country sharing a border with Russia. No matter who the leader, Russia has been an aggressor country for most of its history, especially in the last 100 or so. If they can’t be trusted, then, making deals with them is very risky and should not be done.
