Just a further comment on compartmentalization....
At a minimum we are talking about Special Access Programs.
As I am sure you know those programs are highly compartmentalized.
The person standing next to you in your unit could be working on such a task/program without you knowing about it if you had no need to know.
What these folks are claiming is that their program was “rogue” which means the secrecy was even greater than “Special Access” and the penalties for violating that secrecy were extreme/above the law.

If the reasoning for the alien theory is to prevent weaponization of space, that will never happen. We’ve been weaponizing space for decades as it’s the obvious place for weapons.

I am starting to doubt we landed on the moon. Wikileaks revealed the Werner Von Braum said there was a 1 in 10,000 chance we could make before Apollo 11. And investigative journalists offered Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin $5000 if they’d pu their hand on the Bible and swear they landed on the moon. Neither would do it.

Good comment—and legitimate concern—because memory wipes and brainwashing is an integral part of the “program”.
This is a very complicated issue—has to do with the nature of memory—which is not fully understood by anyone.
It is a great way to plant disinformation for sure.
If I had any doubts about these folks that would be it—but at the end of the day my gut tells me they are legit.
My theory is that the incident at Roswell was an alien weather balloon.

No, it’s not that I don’t believe that. I certainly do.
It’s just that some things are so clearly confirmed that the likelihood they will ever be found to be proven wrong is infintessimal, and this is one of them.
It’s not like we can’t tell when a theory is an incomplete description of reality. That is usually quite apparent from the beginning, or becomes apparent rather quickly when we compare the theory’s predictions to observations. And the signs of that simply aren’t there in the case of what we know about matter and the speed of light.
Therefore, the only reason to think that we, or some imaginary “aliens”, might find a way around this law, is if one is intent in engaging in wishful thinking. I try to avoid that.
