It sure is nice someone is negotiating a true settlement of hostilities.

Who was that, again?

We made port in Odessa on a Black Sea cruise in 1998.
They even had a brass band out on the pier to welcome us.
Beautiful grand staircase up from the pier to a promenade lined with huge trees and lovely old buildings.
The people were so welcoming and kind. Breaks my heart to hear this.

Supposedly a Russian blockade of all Uke ports is about to begin

Last year's commercial "grain-deal" allowed private traders and their ships to get insurance for vessels calling Odessa. The Russians, for their part, claim that the West still sanctioned Russian grain and fertilizer exports, contrary to the terms of the deal.

Whatever the case, now no private/commercial ship will get insurance to sail into Ukraine waters. Too dangerous - so they simply won't go.

that means any other ships making the journey will be considered military targets

Good luck with that. Even more luck with assuming the next guy is better.

Nothing that a few trillion USA taxpayer $$$ can’t rebuild, while ignoring our own infrastructure. Preferably with no-bid contracts with Bidet’s cronies. [/S]

it was actually a joke on the “two weeks to flatten the curve” on covid.

I expect a similar outcome if they try something like that on Putin.

“We don’t remember this scale of attack since the start of a full-scale invasion’, he said.”

Then it wasn’t a full scale invasion.

The failure of the grain deal (undermining the bridge) will result in huge financial losses for Ukraine.

That's ok, I'm guessing Ukraine's "Uncle Sugar" Joe Biden is already writing a check from US taxpayer dollars to make up the difference and then some.
