The war in the Ukraine is easily the most important geostrategic event occurring in the world today, reshaping not only the military balance, but global energy and food markets as well.
Many American Conservatives, like Ronald Reagan, opposed the march of Soviet communism, and the KGB values that still underpin the Putin regime today, in its aggression and oppression.
Many of us are still opposed to that today, and stand with those brave Ukrainians who are fighting against it, for their freedom and independence.
Discuss the issues all you wish, but do not make it personal.
The stock price of Prigozhin and Wagner continues to drop today, as Wagner’s heavy weaponry is being transferred to regular Russian Army units, and Wagner Officers in Syria were arrested by Russian Military and Syrian officials.
Defense Secretary Shoigu shows no signs yet of being purged.

“Putin is set to award soldiers who “took part in suppressing the mutiny” in Kremlin. Shoygu is ready to receive another award. The man is not going anywhere, it seems.”

"VELYKA NOVOSLIKA /1720 UTC 27 JUN/ UKR forces on the Velyka Novoslika axis have liberated Rivnopil. UKR has continued to push RU south along the T-05-18 HWY, consolidating gains on the E bank of the Mokri Yaly River & are now in contact at Starornnaiorske and Urozhaine."
After many years of denying that Wagner Group was a front group for Russian Military Intelligence (GRU), Putin today announced that its large scale (multi-billion dollar) direct funding from the Russian Government would now be stopped.
Forced to burn their largest asset - and will further sacrifice any remaining shred of credibility.

“Putin admits Wagner Group is fully funded by Russia, except for the exact moments its mercenaries are committing war crimes, massacres and other atrocities around the world”
“The U.S. Treasury imposed sanctions against four companies and one individual connected to Yevgeny Prigozhin’s Wagner Group.
The targeted entities engaged in illicit gold mining and trading in Africa to fund the mercenary company, according to the Treasury Department’s June 27 press release.
The sanctioned list included Midas, a Central African Republic (CAR)-based mining company, Diamville, a gold and diamond purchasing company in CAR, Industrial Resources, a Dubai-based industrial goods distributor, and OOO DM, a Russian firm that also took part in the gold trading scheme.
Sanctions were also applied against Andrey Ivanov, a Wagner Group executive who took part in Prigozhin’s operations in Mali, the press release added.
The U.S. Treasury designated the Wagner Group as a “transnational criminal organization” on Jan. 26 and imposed sanctions against it.
“Wagner personnel have engaged in an ongoing pattern of serious criminal activity, including mass executions, rape, child abductions, and physical abuse in the Central African Republic and Mali,” the Treasury Department said.
On May 25, the U.S. sanctioned Ivan Maslov, the head of Wagner’s operations in Mali.”

“I suspect the way Moscow hopes this will play out is the (Wagner) commanders will move to Belarus and then possibly decamp for operations in Africa, meanwhile they will try to get back Wagner’s heavy equipment, and then figure out how to use the rank and file that chooses to stay.

“Ukraine has for the first time liberated territory which has been under Russian control since 2014, British intelligence officials said.
The small patch of land is in an area near Krasnohorivka, some 10 miles south west of the city of Donetsk.
The capture marks the first time since Russia’s invasion in February last year that Ukraine’s forces have been able to retake land seized in the initial Donbas invasion eight years prior.
Ukrainian troops were said to have liberated the lands last week, but news of the victory has been kept secret until now for tactical reasons.”
Good to see you posting, and hope that aal is well for you.

“Rybar discusses the risks to the RuAF around Bakhmut.
Constant AFU counter attacks are putting considerable pressure on the RuAF.
Deepstate, who use geolocated confirmed data to confirm gains, continues to show gains in the area”...
“Rybar states that AFU made some gains near Klishchiivka near Bakhmut and continue to apply pressure near Robotyne and beyond Piatykhatky”...
“Soldiers of the 28th brigade plant a flag on the Kurdyumivka dam after a successful assault in the Kurdyumivka area (around 13km S of Bakhmut)”

“Three “Storm Shadow” cruise missiles destroyed the headquarters of the 31st Engineer Regiment of the 58th Army of the Southern Military District.
In addition, another Ka-52 was once again shot down in the Zaporozhye direction”

“A Chinese made 152mmcartillery round was found in a RuAF cache.
Whilst China denies supporting Russia in the war. Its possible this has come through a second country highlighting a lack of Chinese export controls”

“Putin openly admitted today that PMC Wagner is a fully Kremlin-funded organisation, a well-known fact since years and another episode how the cynical Kremlin system can switch from one day to another one in a matter which fundamentally changes their narrative with a straight but in this case also totally bruised face.
We can now dig out tons of Kremlin statements as well as their paid and unpaid minions in the social media sphere who after years of denying and deflecting look like complete morons. The mantra of “plausible deniability” not only blew up in their very face, but also debunked and exposed years of direct Kremlin involvements around the globe.
Aside from the political implications of this revelations, it also contains a judicial aspect. With this confession the Kremlin has given a judicial opening for a range countries to litigate the Russian government, starting from the war of aggression in Ukraine in 2014/2015 where Wagner was operating in Donbas up to committing atrocities in African countries. It gives judicial base to impound the $300 billion in Russian assets and transfer them to the aggrieved parties.
In any case, we can know provenly say that it was the Kremlin all along. In Mathematics we call this:
“Quod erat demonstrandum” or short
Q.E.D.”
That’s one hell of a counter attack /s
@Gerashchenko_en
Prigozhin and Trotsky: I see historical parallels
Both were formally second men in the state, stood at the head of large armed formations, claimed supremacy, but lost their battles for power.

“Russian military police detain Wagner PMC commanders in different parts of Syria” - Al-Hadath Syrian and Al-Arabiya
At least 4 detentions took place in Al-Suwayda in southern Syria, as well as at the Khmeimim airbase + raids on Wagner bases in Deir ez-Zor, Hama and Damascus.
