That Shoigu and Gerasimov are laying low will feed rumors, but probably just that. They might be a little stunned at the sight of Russias cheering the downing of Russian aircraft, and cheering an armed insurrection. No doubt these same people would cheer at the sight of these Generals swinging from a rope. That’s gotta be a little sobering.
My guess is the aircraft was locating and targeting Wagner PMC vehicles for RU Air Force to attack.
