IF they get security clearances, they would be subject to legal ramifications if they use them in Trumps defense in any way. I would get my hands on them, take them to a Kinko and print out 1,000 copies and hand them out to Maga patriots. The time to be timid is done. Hell, have POTUS do it, and tell the court and DOJ to suck on it. Go all in, or fold.

That sure seems to be the case. They have targeted Trump's lawyers as witnesses against him. They have pierced the veil ground into the dust attorney-client privilege.
It seems Trump's lawyers need to hire lawyers who will then need to hire lawyers just to defend themselves for the crime of being his defense lawyers.

getting a security clearance can take weeks (perhaps months). it can be denied for a variety of larger or smaller reasons.
i do not know how many lawyers have security clearances but i would guess only a small percentage, at least at the level that the DOJ might consider adequate.
this seems as if it might be a roundabout way to limit the pool of lawyers who trump might want to represent him.
will a drawn out trial help or hinder trump? the clearance process could cause weeks or months of delays, plus charges by the lawyer(s) to trump— costly.
can the trial judge swoop down and intercede on some or all of the pre-trial motions that are customarily handled by the magistrate judge? it seems to me as if this is already getting to the deep end of the pool and the magistrate judge hearings are allegedly more congregated at the shallow end... or perhaps i am wrong on that...
can trump’s lawyers cut through all of this with a summary motion to dismiss (or similar motion), and if so, would that go to the magistrate judge?
can security clearance applications be expedited? the applications could in theory be placed at the front of the queue for the investigatory company (which i have heard is ordinarily a private company). or else, perhaps the application could be handled by a government agency instead, avoiding the private investigatory company backlog altogether.
Theyre afraid Trump is going to show the world what docs he had…. And this wll blow up the espionage act nonsense. The DOJ has no intent on showing them- praying folks will assume he has attack plans, nuke codes, DOD R&D , etc… but what he has are momentos and notes to world leaders. So much less nefarious than what they imply.

The only classified documents Biden’s Justice Department fears is exposing them it’s why they raided his home and didn’t fine what they wanted.
They knew he would find documents if he was elected it’s why they did everything they could to stop him and now the risk is more dangerous to them.
