Lot of barking at our family get togethers.
No biting though.
Because the human mouth has about the same bacteria count as the human anus.
Fun fact….
“ Toilet seats have less germs than mouths! It is estimated that toilet seats have 3,200 bacteria per square inch, where as saliva has an estimated 100 million microbes of bacteria per mililitre with anywhere between 400 and 600 different species. Fact 5: Your mouth encounters more germs than the rectal area!”
Imagine what the biter’s girlfriend/whateverfriend is thinking. No more kisses.
I went to school with a guy who had his spleen removed because of an accident & years later was playing with a puppy who bit his hand. Guess it killed him within a couple days. The story I heard is he had been advised to be careful about infections but didn’t think anything about getting nicked by the puppy.
We almost never stitch up a dog bite (or cat bite) and always start the patient on antibiotics immediately because they almost always get infected.
No, human bites. More serious than dog bites.
Infection. The mouth is really a dirty place.
Infection? Does that depend on where your mouth has been?
I’m guessing that is important. I don’t like the idea of, “flesh eating bacteria!”
I think it depends more on how well the teeth are brushed and how long between dental visits. (You don’t want tarter in your blood stream).
I think people would be advised to refuse attendance at any of THOSE family gatherings. That’s crazy!!
