‘A total of 11 missiles (Iskander-M and Iskander-K) were launched towards Kyiv and its region from the northern direction. All targets were destroyed by air defense forces and means, Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi reports.
These 11 would be in addition to the 40 Kh-101 / Kh-555 cruise missiles, of which 37 were shot down.
Clearly Patriot is doing its job.”

The Russian military, the second largest military in the world, may not be what it looks like. Lies and systematic corruptions may in fact have dragged Russia into this war with Ukraine, which has been heavily backed up by the US and NATO. We will present the evidence, you make your own decision, because the Russian Army, is not what you think.

Designed to support the U.S. Army Captains Career Course, “Understanding Combined Arms Warfare” defines and outlines the important aspects of modern combined arms operations. This is not a complete history of combined arms warfare. It is intended to highlight the most important aspects of the subject.
The beginning of the documentary establishes a common understanding of combined arms warfare by discussing doctrinal and equipment developments in World War I. The second part compares the development of French and German Army mechanization during the interwar period and describes how each country fared during the Battle of France in 1940. The film concludes by showing how the United States applied combined arms operations in the European Theater in World War II.

[ Attack From The Back | Unexpected Move. Ukrainians Get Around Russian Defenses | We Crossed The Canal ]
••Day 459: May 28
Today there are a lot of updated from the Bakhmut direction.
Ukrainian 3rd and 5th Assault Brigades continued attacking Klishchiivka simultaneously from two sides.
Tank operators from the 3rd Assault Brigade recently released a video showing how they made an attack on Russian fortified positions in the tree lines north of the settlement.
The attack was conducted by at least two tanks that unleashed their high-explosive shells in order to undermine Russian defense.
Such tank raids are usually immediately followed by a ground assault.
Under cover of tank fire, Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles drive to the target and deploy their infantry that engages in close combat fighting. Once the enemy fire is suppressed, the remaining troops hide inside the shelters.
If the shelter is not equipped with all-round firing points, then their best hope is that the Russians in the neighboring position manage to overwhelm Ukrainians with fire.
Otherwise, the strong point is cleared with several grenades.
In the aftermath of continuous storming operation north of Klishchiivka, Ukrainians managed to clear several more tree lines on their way to the settlement.
According to the latest updates, Russians are controlling the main trench network on a hill and two dense tree areas around it.
A prominent Russian military analyst stated that Russian forces lack the organization, fire support, coordination, and training necessary to defend the Bakhmut’s flanks.
The analyst also complained that Russian forces allowed Ukrainian forces to drive an infantry fighting vehicle for 15 minutes into the Russian rear without destroying it, with the Ukrainian assault lasting only 16 minutes in total.
He claimed that Russian forces would not be able to do the same to Ukrainians because Ukrainians open fire before the vehicle even emerges on the horizon.
However, this is only half of the bad news for Russians. Several days ago, a Wagner-affiliated source reported that Ukrainians had crossed the canal and were developing their second line of attack.
Recently published geolocated footage confirms these claims, as one video shows how Ukrainian fighters from the 80th Assault Brigade are destroying enemy ammunition depots with drone strikes.
Another one shows how Ukrainian artillery or mortar crews are hitting Russian positions 500 meters south of the previous ones, and the latest video shows how Ukrainians crossed the canal, approached the enemy and successfully established control over the positions on the other side of the canal.
This is a very significant development because it means that Ukrainians proceed further with the plan of engulfing Klishchiivka from two sides, which is crucial for conduction a successful storming operation.
As mentioned previously, there is an extensive trench network on a hill that is surrounded by two small forests, which together make an extremely powerful fortification.
That is why undermining Russian defensive capabilities prior to the assault is extremely important.
And while Ukrainian infantry is generating tactical gains, Ukrainian artillery and drone crews are making Russian logistics a nightmare.
Ukrainian 28th Mechanized Brigade published a video of how they hunted down Russian reinforcements near Andriivka. In the aftermath of one day of continuous monitoring of the road by drone operators and the help of the artillery crew, Ukrainians managed to destroy 10 Russian vehicles, including one tank.
The vehicles were delivering ammunition and manpower.
In the meantime, Ukrainian drone operators from the 5th Assault Brigade have focused on the opposite side of this region, namely on the Russian positions in the forest.
The footage shows how they destroyed an enemy mortar position and an ammunition depot. It looks like Ukrainian fighters that are on the doorstep of the main Russian fortification are waiting until other units attack Klishchiivka from the north and south.
This way, there is a high chance that Russians will just abandon their positions for fear of being taken into a pocket.
Ukrainian military officials previously reported that Russian forces are transferring unspecified airborne and motorized rifle units from the Luhansk direction to the Bakhmut direction, and many of these soldiers were mobilized.
The continuous development of tactics that exploit the low morale of the Russian soldiers helps Ukrainians to clear positions much faster and with very light damage.
••3 weeks ago in the East near the Oskil, the Russian took the village of Masiutivka; yesterday they took the forest south of the village.

Wagner troops moved out of their positions in Bakhmut and were replaced by the conscripts of the DPR.

The UA may be trying to create a buffer in the North with the Belgorod region to keep Russian artillery and missiles away from Kharkiv. This ongoing situation is not mentioned in the Russian media; only local Telegram channels are screaming about the shelling of the military supply hub at Shebekino.

Denys said he does not believe the war will end no matter how successful the UA, until the Russian regime ends. As long as Putin’s power is secure, Russia will continue to launch missiles from its territory into Ukraine.

Russia’s drones now use Russia’s GLONASS navigation systems and are more effectively controlled. This gives them loitering capability. Shoot down rate is 90%.

With a tentative deal on US default, many Russian dreams were shattered.

At the start of the war, McDonalds in Kiev closed. However, KFC remained open and cooked free meals for the UA troops which they delivered to the front lines.

“Just now. Big booms. Many dead Russians in occupied Yurivka, near Melitopol”
That area has been drawing a lot of fire in recent days.
➡️ 100 Russians died
➡️ More than 400 were hospitalized
➡️ a communication station was destroyed
➡️ a 5 story building accommodating Russians was completely destroyed

The Storm before the storm!
“Military facility in Khmelnytsky region damaged as a result of night missile strikes.”
Maybe Russia going after the Storm Shadows.
“3 weeks ago in the East near the Oskil, the Russian took the village of Masiutivka; yesterday they took the forest south of the village.”
That puts the Russians well within Artillery range of the important river crossing and transportation hub of Kupyansk, that was a big prize for the Ukrainians in last September’s counteroffensive in Kharkiv Oblast in the North. They have slowly crept forward on that Northern flank, since the lines stabilized last Fall.
Supposedly, 5 aircraft were damaged. My guess is RU was going after the aircraft that can launch the Storm Shadows.
Hopefully, the missiles are stored in deep bunkers until needed.

Poland has announced it will close the border for freight vehicles registered in Russia and Belarus indefinitely.
@visegrad24 11h
More and more migrants are trying to cross Poland’s border wall with Belarus. Most of them have Russian visas.
The Polish Border Guard has announced that 148 illegal migrants tried to cross the border on May 28th. Most of them were from Pakistan, Yemen, Nepal & India.
If indeed there is an “Anschluss” with Belarus and Russia, things are going to get real interesting.
