The good news is the law passed to allow Governor DeSantis to run for POTUS without having to resign as Governor.....so when Trump “wipes the floor” with him as people like you like to say he’ll still be Governor until 2027.

That DeSantis tweet is evidently almost 11 years old. But maybe we’re supposed to take note because it involved that disgusting RINO John Bolton, the same John Bolton whom Trump appointed National Security Advisor.
Bottom line: I don’t know what to conclude here, except that the Democrats must love all this Republican fighting.
DeSantis has done so much by proxy for the country. If people can’t see that then that’s their problem.

At one time I was a hawk and thought Bolton was a decent man. Those days are long over for me. I changed. Bolton didn’t. There is a huge separation between me and the military industrial complex. Don’t read that wrong. I still support the military and still have family in the Army. I have simply lost all trust in the Pentagon, State Dept. and the IC. All they have managed to do is lie as a pretext to needlessly kill and wound our young service members and lose endless wars for the sole purpose of enriching the MIC.

Clinton was reelected governor for the last time in 1990 and was still governor when he ran for president.
A lot of governors who run and win aren’t governors anymore when they run. That allows them to concentrate entirely on their campaigns.
A better case could be made for Senators. When was the last time somebody left the Senate to run for president? Some have even run for president or vice president and for senator at the same time.
Or Mitt Romney, from Governor of Massachusetts to Senator from Utah... go figure.
It’s interesting that DeSantis never had to fight with his own party the way Trump had to. He has a Republican super-majority who gives him whatever he wants, including repeal of resign-to-run and sealing his travel records. Are there no RINO’s like we see in the rest of the country? Is Florida a RINO-free zone? Or are they just doing what they’re told?
If the Establishment feared DeSantis, we would know. They would have pressured the Florida legislature to obstruct him. Instead, it’s been, hands off. RINO legislators do as they’re told. If they were told to let DeSantis have what he wants, it was for a reason. The entire DeSantis governorship was a show, directed by GOP Inc. in order to sell DeSantis as the answer to Trump. We are being sold Trumpism without Trump, by people who hate Trump and Trumpism.
