The POINT is that Trump doesnt prove beyond doubt that he has a huge groundswell of popularity to go on and win the general.
You all keep acting like he’s the most popular dude in history and thus he is a shoo-in for every election. He is not.
Again, you think he’s so popular so he’s bound to win….he is not popular enough to guarantee it whether fair or not.
Never mind my point elsewhere that you ASSume Trump is so popular that he wins every election.
The other thing EverTrumpers assume is that all of those gazillions of votes are enthusiastic supporters. We are not all TrumpBots. We vote for expediency, and that means some will drop off and not vote for him at all. I vote R no matter what. That doesn’t mean I’m in love with the guy.
Stop assuming all those votes are super TrumpBots.
We do what we have to do. Not all of us are kissing his butt happily.
Why is that relevant and where did I say that all Trump voters are Trumpbots? Trump accomplished more than any President in my lifetime, He can stand on his record.

Why is it relevant?
The mindset is that Trump can win because his “vote count is trending upward”. But that is not backed up by solid proof. Votes for him do not mean undying love for him for next time.
That is why it is relevant: the pronouncements that he has huge popularity - and, you have to have solid popular vote to win some of those electoral!
