He’s losing a lot fewer now than a couple months ago, but he’s running out of convicts. Convicts were of no value, and he cared not if they lived or died. Now he’s losing regular Wagner mercs, hard to replace and expensive. And the more he loses, the harder they are to recruit, because even mercs don’t like suicide missions. They are the life blood of his militia, and he has to at least act like he cares about them.
