Wouldn’t that just be part of the normal contractor’s operation?
Correct..
Watching the video it looks to me like the tug tried to move but was somehow either stuck or moored to either the launching ship or to something on the slipway.
You can see before the actual launch that there's a "rooster tail" at the back of the tug, but the tug doesn't move.
A way bigger problem is what is the Navy going to do with a hull they didn’t want? They’ve been trying to give away the LCS’s they already have?
That indeed is a greater question. I've suggested in the past that since the USCG currently has a large cutter program in work (Offshore Patrol Cutter, a 360 ft cutter with a 10,000 mile range and 22 knot top speed) that some of the Navy's LCS be transferred to the USCG for their use in lieu of some of the OPCs, but that idea was shot down as unworkable by several Coasties.
Apparently the unrefueled range of the LCSs is not enough for USCG use, and the USCG would have to refit standard diesel engines in place of the Gas Turbines and replace the jet drive with conventional screws to reduce lifetime operating costs and again increase range.
Why are you so vague that no one knows what you are talking about?
“this will clearly only happen with elections in 2024 to put politicians in place to ‘clean house’”
The traditional route for a nation is via a horrific war that it is losing badly. At that point, its leadership has a choice of “cleaning house” or losing everything. No more make-believe.
You asked:
Wouldn’t that just be part of the normal contractor’s operation?
I Answered:
Correct
What’s vague about that?
Remember: Obama fired all senior military who would NOT agree to shoot US citizens.
Here’s detailed info onhow it’s calculated:
Here’s another side launched Navy ship.. you can see the tug boats here as well.

Because I sure don’t.
LOL, that is a great scene!
That one, and “Get off the babysitter!” yelled through a megaphone!
That is a good point. When the Champaign bottle breaks is it commissioned or after some paperwork is signed? Does the Navy person at the ceremony have any control over what happens or is he just watching?
I’m guessing there would be some kind of approval process/inspection before the contractor is paid off by the government. Ships usually go through sea trails before they are officially added to the fleet as well.
Ok thanks Friend
It got weird with 59 and 62 is when it got weird and has stayed weird.
We all know the tug is there and part of the operation, everyone knows.
