this whole thing has been sketchy from the beginning.
I do not believe for a minute this guy originally procured the documents.
he may have disclosed them, and probably he did.
Maybe the Biden wants to cut and run from Ukraine and this is just pre-cover. the only thing I know is that there is misinformation being reported everywhere.
Thats not how the military and intel communities work. One does not get to go out and barf all this up.
hard to find anything bout doc contebts.
I’m less interested in the leeaker but take it all with a grain of saly.
this doc has some info
https://www.news9live.com/deep-dive/explained-alleged-us-pentagon-intelligence-leaks-on-social-media-au36-2099541
Precisely. This is a clear case of extenuating circumstances.
Please tell us, what rules re you talking about?
———
The rules ( laws) of holding clearances. I have had two, one DOD, one DOS.
Harsh penalties for dumping information. Lives depend on it. Lawlessness is what we are seeing today. That said:
1) He will suffer with detention for breaking the security laws he agreed to. He went on a limb to expose the US in their war, for that I will not condemn him.
2) Having held clearances,( not the level he supposedly did) I do NOT believe he himself personally removed the information and spilled it. I suspect more people are involved- in short- he was set up, a patsy, a scapegoat.
Back to the “ rules” he signed. In my case,( DOS) I could not disclose emails, correspondence, photos, write a book, or any electronic information for 5 years.
IF I did, my computer would be confiscated, and anyone in my contacts ( household, family, friends, etc) would be subject to confiscation and interrogation, then I would be , at minimum, prosecuted for violating the legal agreement I signed. Civil court? Federal court?
Does that clear up the issue? PS, I don’t condem Assange or Snowden. It is a strange world we live in now where our corrupted government can lie, cheat and steal and they can imprison someone who exposes their crimes.
I’m not sure but he might have been OK if he had sent it directly to MTG (since she has a clearance - you’d have to argue ‘need to know’).
If there is a LGBT side in this war, it's all NATO.
So lying about American ground forces being Ukraine, lying about casualties l, lying about Ukrainian air defenses, etc. is no big deal ??
Remember both Republican and Democratic administrations lied about every war since WW II, especially Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and now Ukraine as an American citizen public lynching is not out of the question for people lying the country into wars
What I see is that some documents said there are 14 American troops doing something in Ukraine (it didn’t say what they do) and certain people pretending to be idiots and treating it like it is Vietnam.
This is not lying about anything.
In the same way I can’t see how any of these other things you listed are lying.
There’s no debating when someone with your opinions
Weapons of Mass Destruction was a lie, the Gulf of Tonkin was a lie, 20 years in Afghanistan was one long lie proven by how fast the country fell to the Taliban, the successes of Ukraine is a lie, if you don’t recognize that then there’s no point in debating the issue
“the disclosure of all the lies”
Such as ?
“How far down the military structure did officers know but did nothing. “
They did know actually... what ?
“They did know actually... what ?”
That we had troops in Ukraine helping fight the Russians.
That our guided missiles were being jammed and not very effective.
That Ukraine was not doing nearly as well as advertised on the battlefield.
I’ve mentioned them already it should be self evident American troop involvement, casualty numbers, actual combat stats, strength of the Ukrainian army, accountability of US money given to Ukraine, nearly every major event in the USA over the last 50 years has been built around a series of lies told to the American people
If you don’t see or understand that then there is nothing to debate
There's nothing indicating that in those docs.
“That our guided missiles were being jammed and not very effective.
That Ukraine was not doing nearly as well as advertised on the battlefield.”
Hardly anything related. Anyway, If according to top secret information, South Korean military is shit, which could be easily defeated by the NORKs, then It seems in your opinion, anyone with access to that info should release it ?
To your first point. Read second sentence. https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4146328/posts
The only relation between the items is our government is lying.
If we have and are continuing to spend billions on a weapon system that allegedly was tested, don’t you think the taxpayers should know and hold our military leaders accountable?
If we are being told Ukraine is winning, when we know they can’t, then aren’t we wasting money and getting people killed. If the public knew that they might push for alternative approves that wouldn’t get so many people killed.
On South Korea, if our military is telling us South Korea’s military is outstanding and we don’t need to provide any military aid when the military knows they are third rate, then yes that information should be provided to the American people.
It is not acceptable for the American government to lie to achieve political objectives.
