If we’re starting in the “A’s,” I suggest Anson Mount. He was great in Hell on Wheels.

Yeah, it is going to be tough to find a new James Bond. Any suggestions? Deep-fake Sean Connery.
Seriously. This is where the tech is going.
I predict before long, we'll see brand-new movies made with the likeneses of deceased actors, licensed by their estate holders. New movies with John Wayne, Steve McQueen, you name it.
Older, established actors like Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, and Robert DeNiro will license the likenesses of their younger selves. The tech will be so good, there will be no need for new actors. And it'll be a win for Hollywood because these older actors are more bankable and, plus, they won't have to work with actual, living actors. Everything will be CGI.

I think he would be good as Bond, too. But he’s 50 and if you want someone to do multiple films, a young man would be better.

How long before a “Brokeback Mountain” remake starring John Wayne and Steve McQueen?
To: fretzer
Deepfakes. Now remember, this is NOT Tom Cruise...

Henry Cavill. 39. Could play the role for 2 decades easy. Total professional. Kills every role he gets. Hard pass on any 20 something Bonds. Hard pass on Idris Elba too. He is already looking like an old 50.
To: PJ-Comix
In Fleming’s stories, Bond is in his mid-to-late thirties, but does not age.

Al Gore’s got gravitas...at least that’s what the media said in 2000.

Well, he’s likely a lib but I’ve always felt Josh Hartnett could pull off a Bond. He pulls off the tuxedo look quite well. He may be slightly old by now 40+ but he once turned down a Batman role.

Assuming he can do a decent British accent, Jim Caviezel would make a great Bond.

I nominate Lori Elaine, she needs work and would be a perfect James Bond in this insane day and age.
