I am not a fan of Trump’s propensity to climb into the gutter and despite all the bravado here on FR, it has NOT helped Trump.
I don’t understand what is going on between Trump and DeSantis. I know Trump was a big help to him and was likely the biggest influence in his victory in Florida. DeSantis has done a good job from what I can see as governor.
This fight hurts the slim chance we have of winning in 24 (given election issues) and I have said many times that it hurts both Trump and DeSantis.
However, my point stands. MAGA holds a grudge and DeSantis should be smart enough to see that he is putting his own political future in jeopardy. I actually think he would benefit from simply not engaging with Trump but he has a chip on his shoulder too.
PS - if Paul Ryan wants DeSantis I will NOT support Ron. Ryan is the biggest snake in the GOP as far as I am concerned.
Conservatives need to keep their powder dry.
We have another year of unfolding history to pass before deciding a course of action.
Keep your eyes and ears open and be as discerning as possible with the sources you trust.
If Trump is unavailable for any reason, it is important not to have already crippled the next best alternative.

Not going to disagree at all. I just think it’s of utmost importance to see who is driving every candidate. It’s an educational process. We should all make decisions based on all the info we can digest. It’s what a primary process is about.
Trump can still fix this. So far, trump has lost Florida in the general. But he can save the state by immediately apologizing to DeSantis. What he’s done to DeSantis is criminal.

What is criminal is threatening to kill people.

Unfortunately, the playing field is becoming clearer and clearer. We see the GOPe lining up against MAGA. I think it’s as simple as that. I hate it because I LOVE what DeSantis has done in Florida. The national stage??? Well, I see that unfolding as well and it’s far different.
An entire news article filled with buzzwords and not one falsifiable statement. (Falsifiable doesn’t mean true; it means that if it were false, there wouldn’t be a single word they couldn’t wriggle out of.)

Can you pick out anything specifically in the article that you can disagree with or argue against. I really want to see people dig in past the superficial drive by news. Only way we prevail is to educate ourselves.
Good question. Trump had four years and didn’t do a thing To stop it. Now he’s saying let’s cheat by harvesting which is great, but two years too late.

You should sue your doctor. Your meds aren’t working at all.
And the evidence for that, outside of opinion pieces?
Directly attacking Trump with establishment talking point will kill Desantis for 2028…
To quote Red Foreman…
Dumba$$
yep
Just because you have a reading comprehension problem. Don’t blame me.
Well that’s true. But trump gets a pass in all things even provoking attempted murder.
I think DeSantis was way too patient with that pathetic man baby. He was bashed on a daily basis by trump for no reason. Finally DeSantis lightly said a statement and trump went ballistic and had a huge tantrum. It’s so pathetic.
What more does one need to know about DeSantis?
Are the democrats more afraid of De-Santis or Trump? I do not know. I will support the one they most fear. Oddly I think it is De-Santis. Perhaps I am wrong.
Can’t you guys at least think of smart insults?
Trump doesn’t care. It’s about feeding hos ego. He’s getting worse and worse.
To have any chance of bearing the fraud, the GOP Canidate has to be able to win swing voters in the Suburbs. Otherwise we lose, plain fact.

Seriously... that’s exactly my point. There’s nothing I could do anything other than OPINIONATE against. Basically, I call bulls—t, you don’t agree, and where are we? Am I supposed to disprove the appropriateness of “scheme”? I could point to plenty of establishment Republicans who hate DeSantis more than Trump and you’d only say that the article is about DIFFERENT Republicans who YOU say are “establishment” Republicans. I could point of establishment Republicans supporting Trump, and you’d say that only proves that they’re reformers.
The article states that, “The Wall St, K-Street, multinational and billionaire funding into RdS during the spring of 2022 was massive,” but Trump’s entire campaign in 2016 and 2020 was about zero percent funded by Trump.
How do argue with sliming yet meaningless phrases like, “Perhaps taken in by the intoxicating alure of money, perhaps it didn’t take much convincing”? There’s no possibility afforded that the people support him becuase they think Trump is unwinnable, incompetent or tainted. Nope! DeSantis is either corrupt or incorrupt but evil either way in the eyes of the author... because he takes campaign money? Got news for ya sunshine: Trump spent practically nothing on either of his campaigns.
The problem with all the states you listed are Philadelphia, Atlanta, Phoenix, and Milwaukee. Until voter fraud is stopped. no Republicans can win, except for some RINO type, a national scale version of Larry Hogan or Chris Christie, who the Democrats will allow to win to take heat off their failures.
