yep. I just look at the map progress (liberal Militaryland one too) to determine who is gaining ground and who is losing it. Ukraine has been losing ground for about 3 months now. I don’r understand how the propagandists cannot figure out that people see right through their BS.

Is there ammunition for the doomed Russian outdated tanks? Remember, last week you were trumpeting the Russian infantry had no ammunition. I’m assuming all of those Russians from last week’s disinfo must be dead or captured. Is this the last stand for Putin? All infantry gone, only outdated tanks left to save Russia. You are as credible as a climate change fanatic. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt since you’re not making money of the Uke corruption scam and color you useful idiot.

This OP posts pro Ukrainian bullshit and a lot of it.

I just checked out some satellite images of the destruction in Bakhmut by the Daily Mail.

It wasn’t very impressive, just slices of a few buildings here or there that looked destroyed and a bunch of artillery craters out in a variety of fields.(No way to tell location because of the sectional photos)

Just post a current satellite photo of the whole city, which shouldn’t be very tough with 2023 technology.

“Former Russian Commander Shares Dismal Assessment for Putin’s Forces”
By Anna Commander On 3/12/23 at 1:16 PM EDT

Igor Girkin, a former Russian army commander, recently shared his disappointing assessment of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s forces, saying that they have “no chance” of taking certain regions after an unsuccessful winter in Ukraine.

In a video posted to Twitter on Sunday by Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Girkin said, “Unfortunately the unsuccessful winter campaign and the fact the Ukrainian army didn’t suffer a strategic defeat practically dooms Trans-Dniester to defeat and occupation.”

VIDEO AT LINK

Ukraine has received numerous aid packages from the United States and other Western countries since the start of the war last February. The Kremlin has credited the West with Ukraine’s ability to hold the line amid Russia’s attempts at advancement. Last month, Russian state TV host Vladimir Solovyov said Russia’s “enemies will deliver everything, they’ll give [Ukraine] everything, until we deal with them harshly and clearly.”

In the video shared by Gerashchenko, Girkin added: “Russian forces have no chance of fighting their way to Trans-Dniester by land after leaving its right bank staging ground and retreating from Kherson. Unfortunately, we cannot repeat the crossing of Dnieper River on the fly without being met with resistance. At the moment, neither our fleet, nor the army have enough strength to destroy the enemy’s [Ukraine] anti-ship and anti-aircraft defense systems.”

Major Ukrainian cities including Kherson, Kyiv, Odessa, and Bakhmut have been at the center of Russian shelling and fierce fighting since Putin’s invasion of the Eastern European country. Most recently, Bakhmut, which is in the country’s Donetsk region, has been the site of months-long battles between Russian and paramilitary forces against Ukrainian troops.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky previously vowed to defend the “fortress” city, but Russian soldiers have slowly gained territory there in recent weeks. Analysts have said that the battle is likely to end “imminently” in Bakhmut.

The latest battlefield losses for Russia show Putin’s troops have lost 159,090 personnel, making a single day loss of 1,090 troops, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense on Sunday. Additionally, Russia has lost 3,466 tanks, 304 military jets, and 259 air defense systems since February 24, 2022. Newsweek could not independently verify these numbers.

The repeated losses incurred by Putin’s troops have even started depleting a decades old stockpile, according to Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

“Russia is running out of prepared stockpiles of weapons. Missiles and military equipment have been accumulating for decades. The calculations called for blitzkrieg, not blitzutilization,” Danilov tweeted on Saturday. “A corrupt economy is unable to provide a front, foreign aid for terrorist Russia is a matter of primary importance.”

Meanwhile, Gerashchenko posted another tweet of Girkin on Sunday showing the former military officer condemning current Russian leadership.

“Once again, I do not believe under the leadership of the current Ministry of Defense of Russia and it’s wonderful, amazing, talented team we can win this war,” Girkin said.

Director of the Grand Strategy Program at Defense Priorities, Rajan Menon, told Newsweek on Sunday, “At this point I see no indication that either side believes it’s losing the war—or will lose it. Nor do I expect the war to end anytime soon. Putin’s bet may be that time still favors him because he has larger numbers in troops and arms and that Western unity will eventually fray. The recent big losses in soldiers and arms seem not to matter to him.”

He added: “Ukraine believes that when newly promised Western armaments (tanks and armored personnel carriers in particular) arrive in adequate numbers and the ground hardens after the rainy season, it can launch a counteroffensive. That move will likely be in the south—toward Melitopol as part of a larger plan to cut Russia’s land corridor to Crimea by reaching the Azov Sea littoral.”

But, advocating for the constant suck of the American financial teat coming back the poster’s way seems to be the object. Not their money, and if they can get America to part with its money for a struggle in which we have zero stake, and being north of 30 trillion dollars in debt and going up, well, it isn’t that hard for them given who is running the country right now.

It really does pollute this forum and these foreigners aren’t even nice. They’re like hissing, spitting snakes.

Last week, I saw a couple of Zeepers waxing poetic about how “brave” Biden was to go to a war zone. 🙄

The effects of wars on people are very heavy. People who see the battlefield once can never forget that moment. Even causing the death of a human being is a great pain, but the pain of killing people in war is unimaginable. Being a soldier and taking part in war has many bad psychological consequences. Wars have the power to completely upset a person’s equilibrium. It is as frightening to live in the face of death as it is to kill. The psychological damage caused by living in fear of death every day and coming back from the brink of death many times is inevitable.

All these psychological effects are slowly beginning to show in Russian soldiers. Russian soldiers are not feeling well at all, because they can no longer endure the conditions of war.

The Russian army has about one million active soldiers and two million reservists. It is known that hundreds of thousands of Russian soldiers were sent to the front in the Ukraine-Russia war.

As a result of the compulsory mobilization order, Putin has sent 300,000 more to the front. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry announced that the death toll of Russian soldiers killed in the war reached 150,000, but the losses of the Russian army did not end there. There were also many wounded soldiers in the Russian army, but their numbers have not yet been released.

Thousands of soldiers in the Russian army became depressed because of the psychological damage caused by the war. Because they could not bear what they saw and experienced on the battlefield and the conditions there. Thousands of soldiers in the Russian army were sent back home for this reason, but the Russian government did not seek any treatment for them. Because the only thing the government cared about was the war. The soldiers and the people, the government didn’t care! They were only interested in the course of the war.

A young soldier, Mikhail Lyumbimov, 25 years old, was forced to join the war because of the pressure put on him by the authorities. However, Lyumbimov never wanted to take part in this war. After arriving on the battlefield, Lyumbimov could not believe what he saw. Forcibly taken to the battlefield, the young soldier was caught in the middle of chaos. As a result of the operation organized by Ukrainian soldiers, all of Lyumbimov’s friends were killed.

Since the 17th century, Russia has tried to influence, assimilate and destroy the Ukrainian people. And since 1991, the fall of the USSR, different ex-communist and pro-Russian political powers have tried to gain political and economic influence over our country as they did with Belarus. And if the latter is de-facto occupied by Russia now, then Ukraine is the central pillar of resistance to aggressive Russian influence over the entire European continent.

The Monster Howitzer That Can Drop Shells on a Dime 30-Miles Away

While the Chinese were the first to experiment with explosive powders in 300 AD, it was not until 1252 that the age of gunpowder began. The cannon as we know it first blasted into the scene around 1350 as it tore through the clashing armies of the Hundred Years’ War, quickly spread across Europe and redefined warfare forever.

The weapon reached its pinnacle in the 17th century, and many experts have considered it obsolete for decades. However, the new M777 howitzer has proven them wrong.

With a robust frame made of titanium and aluminum alloys, BAE System’s M777 is approximately half the weight of other comparable systems and able to be transported across rugged terrain by cargo aircraft and disassembled at a moment’s notice.

But its portability is deceiving, as the M777 can obliterate targets up to 30 miles away with a wide array of devastating ammunition such as the Excalibur M982 smart round.

The M777 towed 155-millimeter artillery piece has gradually become the universal Howitzer platform for several nations in the world. But the American crews have unveiled the secret to turning the gun from a blunt instrument into a force to be reckoned with…

This Is How Russian TV Reacted to ‘Navalny’ Oscar Win
Story by Jamie Burton •
3-13-2023 10:29 a.m. EDT
NEWSWEEK
https://www.newsweek.com/how-russian-tv-reacted-navalny-oscar-win-1787344

A movie about the poisoning of a prominent Russian opposition leader won an Oscar Sunday night, but Russian TV seems to have barely reacted.

Navalny was named the best documentary feature at the Academy Awards ceremony. The HBO Max documentary explores the events surrounding the poisoning of Alexei Navalny, an outspoken critic of Russian President Putin and the Kremlin. After recovering, Navalny, who is now in a Russian prison, blamed his poisoning on Putin.

Navalny has now been honored with an Oscar, a Critics Choice Award and a BAFTA award in the U.K., but it appears that Sunday night’s win is going unreported in his country.

Various reports seen by Newsweek on messaging app Telegram suggest that Russia’s state media have not mentioned the Academy Awards at all.

Users Sirena (Siren) and Agentstvo (the Agency) both described on Telegram what was mentioned in the morning reports on Russian news outlets.

A Russian investigative outlet, Agentstvo said, “Channel One, Russia 1 and NTV did not mention the Oscar ceremony in their morning broadcasts today.”

When Navalny won other awards earlier this year, Russian state media failed to report that too, according to Sirena.

Agentstvo wrote, “The Oscars were not talked about in the news releases that aired every half an hour on Channel One and Russia 1 in the morning shows. Their main topics were: another shelling in Donetsk, protests in Israel and Moldova, floods in the Saratov region, snowfall in Primorye, the return of Russian children from Syria and the investigation of sabotage at Nord Stream.

NTV dedicated its entertainment news segment to the “anniversary of Sharon Stone,” according to the Agency. Her birthday was on March 10.

Some Russian online media outlets mentioned the Oscars, but they buried any mention of Navalny’s win at the bottom of their articles.

Navalny was poisoned with a Novichok nerve agent during a flight in August 2020. He eventually recovered in a hospital in Berlin. After returning to Russia in January 2021, he was immediately detained and accused of violating his parole conditions while he was recovering in Germany. He was later sentenced to two and a half years’ detention. In March 2022, he was found guilty of embezzlement and contempt of court, which resulted in nine more years added to his sentence.

The opposition leader, lawyer and anti-corruption activist is widely known in Russia and abroad for his criticisms of Russia’s president.

When the team behind Navalny accepted the Oscar, Navalny’s wife, Yulia Navalnaya, also spoke.

“My husband is in prison just for telling the truth,” she said alongside the filmmakers. “My husband is in prison just for defending democracy. Alexei, I’m dreaming of the day when you will be free and our country will be free. Stay strong, my love.”

Despite Navalny’s imprisonment, the Twitter account under his name still regularly tweets to his 2.9 million followers. The account reacted to the news of the documentary’s win by retweeting a number of posts relating to the Oscars.

A retweeted message apparently from his daughter, Dasha Navalnaya, said, “We just won an Oscar. Dad, this is for you.”

Russians Express Anger at Mass Grave Plans: ‘We Don’t Want to Be Buried’
By Brendan Cole
3/13/23 at 8:38 AM EDT
https://www.newsweek.com/russia-ukraine-anger-grave-mass-war-buried-penza-1787310

Residents in the Russian region of Penza have expressed concerns regarding local authorities’ plans for a mass burial of citizens, in a video that has been widely viewed on social media.

The clip of a group of people from the city of Zarechny, about 400 miles southeast of Moscow, came amid Russian claims that Kyiv is targeting Russian territory. There are concerns that the war in Ukraine could spill over onto the territory of the aggressor, as well as at the growing casualty numbers of Russian troops.

In the video, a man says that he had seen a drone that had come from the Saratov region located to the south of Penza oblast. A woman then describes how the local administration has not provided any information “about where children would be taken if there was bombing.”
Ukraine war missiles

She referred to an article published in the local newspaper Vedomosti Zarechny headlined: “How people from Zarechny will be buried in wartime.” It describes a decree in which part of the city’s cemetery will be set aside for urgent burials, involving 16 people, a bulldozer and a tractor.

The piece also calls for funds to pay for the protective equipment required for burials, such as coffins disinfectants and body bags.

“This worries us citizens a lot,” the unnamed woman said, “we don’t want to be buried, we still prefer to hide.” As of Monday, the video had been viewed more than 68,000 times.

The video was tweeted by Ukrainian internal affairs adviser Anton Geraschchenko, who wrote “people in Russia were shown a plan of their mass burial. Russians don’t want to be ‘buried’.”

“Residents of a Russian city near Penza wanted to find out from their officials where they should hide in case of bombings, but in response they received a plan to prepare emergency mass burials,” wrote Devana, who often tweets about the war, next to the clip.

The decree was reported by other local media, including the website Our City Penza. It reported that a similar resolution had been adopted in September by the administration of Penza which looked at how to arrange mass graves that can fit up to 100 people.

An article published on the site outlined a policy for the “urgent burial of corpses in wartime” and named cemeteries in villages across the oblast, which could accommodate 20,700 places.

It said that forensic examiners would determine the cause of death and issue death certificates in a process also involving Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Newsweek has emailed the city administration of Zarechny for comment.

I saw some video from Bahkmut yesterday that showed a lot of destruction. Also saw a 1 minute section of a video that was originally edited out of a piece. The one minute section was a group of Ukrainian soldiers complaining about their leaders sending new recruits into Bahkmut after 3 days of training. His buddy warned him that he said enough to get 5 years in prison. I also saw video of the head of Wagner standing in the center of Bahkmut. It takes some research to find these stories but they are out there.
