I adore my air fryer. (Foodi Ninja combo fryer pressure pot) I am not usually one for kitchen gadgets but this is by far my favorite cooking device aside from the frying pan. I use it at least once a day.

Those look delicious. I’ve never used an air fryer.
(Last week a group of us were remembering when chicken wings went into the garbage. Now they’re mainstream snack food.)
Will do! Have you done this with chicken wings that you’ve taken out from the freezer? I have some in mine, so will have to thaw first. It may be a week or two, because we have meals planned ahead, and hubby will be traveling until next week. So maybe sometime the week after. But whenever we do try it, for sure I’ll let you know.
Not from my freezer but I have bought them mostly frozen which is why I keep them in the refrigerator overnight to thaw out. I am picking up another pack of ten today and will cut them up tomorrow and cook them up on Wednesday.
Thank you.
When you make the glaze make sure to sauté the minced garlic and ginger in the 2 tablespoons of olive oil for a couple of minutes and then add in the chili flakes. Give them a good mix and then add in the vinegar, OJ, and brown sugar. You’ll know when the glaze is ready because first it has to give that special glaze boilover and gets sticky.
Yes, thank you. The Asian sauce I made for the short ribs on Saturday is very similar.
Today is Air Fried Orange Chicken Wings day again for me because yesterday I bought 2 packs of wings which means that tomorrow will ALSO be Air Fried Chicken Wings day for me. I just can’t eat enough of that stuff!
That’s fun!
Hey, I was thinking about how you frequently you use your air fryer. Is part of the reason is because you’re in the South where a hot oven will heat up the kitchen too much? Or is it for the health reason? Not that it makes any difference, I’m just curious.
The former, NO. Heat in kitchen is not a problem. Partly due to second reason since air frying is a lot healthier than frying in grease. The big reason for me is TASTE and ease of use especially the quick cleanup. Just takes me like 2-3 minutes to clean the air fryer after use.
BTW, my next big project will be air friend orange... TURKEY wings. Main thing is to make sure those turkey wings are fully cooked since they are a lot tougher than chicken wings. Will probably have to double the cooking time. Can't wait to have that turkey flavor covered in sweet/spicey orange glaze.
Good luck with the turkey wings!
It’s always nice to learn to make something great that you can do from memory. I’m happy that you found something you enjoy so much!
