Obama, for instance, was paid off by a host of people through much slicker means, in New York. Obama is a slicker and higher toned crook than Biden. Most of them are.
Ukraine is mentioned only because some small time grifters - the Biden’s - passed through, and because of the unsophisticated nature of their grift Ukraine became the mcguffin in the usual American political wars. You have heard of Ukraine, but that doesn’t make it important.

There are absolutes that can not be negotiated away. National sovereignty is not subject to another country's interests. Putin wants a second CCCP out of southern Europe and former Soviet states now in NATO, to create zones of regional dominance from Europe to Asia. The rest of the world is saying no. The countries that are not fully backing Ukraine with political support, military and humanitarian aid, are still going along with sanctions like the oil price. The global opposition to the Russian invasion of Ukraine is working.
You don't deal with people who will turn everything you give them a opportunity to turn your life into a country western song. Trump had four years in office and the 2020 election to learn this. He is behind the curve here and needs to get up to speed

During the Russian constitutional crisis of 1993, Barkashov led RNU fighters in their defense of the Russian White House against Boris Yeltsin‘s forces. Barkashov was imprisoned on charges of organizing and inciting mass disorder and illegally bearing arms.
In early 1994, the newly elected Duma granted amnesty to Barkashov.
In 2014, when the war in Donbas started, many of RNU members joined pro-Russian forces in Ukraine.
Back then the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense claimed that a telephone conversation of Barkashov and a local Donetsk activist Boitsov was intercepted.
Barkashov said to Boitsov that he could call off the referendum on independence of the territory.
Barkashov said that it is not necessary to perform referendum the legit way. He said that in the end no one would care about it.
All that Boitsov has to do is to write whatever he finds suitable. If he wants, he can say that 99% of people voted for joining Russia.
