One year into Russia’s seven day war...
Neocons got religion and not much else. Russia has been ruled for nearly a century by sadists but they are a capable intelligent people. For nearly 50 years they matched every Western military advancement. Neocons must have seethed when, under their hero Obama, the only way American astronauts could to get to space was on Russian rockets. Even then NASA couldn't get back into space - it took a genius like Elon Mush to do it.
America under the rule of the watermelon Marxists will have trouble keeping up with arms manufacturing and advancement. From wasting trillions of $ on fantasy green energy, to onerous environmental laws, and a maze of permitting laws that would make the Byzantines jealous we will have to reinvent ourselves and our country if we are ever to be an effective superpower again.

BUT we actually believed that “The End of History*” had arrived and that there was no reason to continue new weapon development, so we effectively shutdown, and as Russia and China developed new weapons, we smugly claimed that they could not work (we often see that posted here, by suspicious people), and so we TOTALLY IGNORED their advances.
So now, does the US peacefully take its place in a world with 3 superpowers, or does it go out by annihilating the rest of the world (and itself). Unfortunately it’s up to the Neocons, and they seem unable to imagine a world where they’re unable to impose their often very sick views on everyone else.

It's doubtful that the Ukraine's could have resisted and held out without massive military aid from NATO countries, especially high tech smart weapons.
Things did not go as planned, but the Russians have used only a small fraction of their capabilities.
Modern warfare burns through expensive, irreplaceable high tech weapons at a astronomical pace. The Ukrainians have burned through those expensive and limited production smart weapons at a furious and indiscriminate fashion and now NATO is literally running out stuff to send to Ukraine just as the Russians are mobilizing with their superior military assets and their own version of western smart weapons.
Russians are now mobilizing for a more serious and higher intensity conflict with their more advanced weapons while the Ukraine is depleted and having a tough time making good their losses.
The Ukrainians are going to get left to their fate and mauled when NATO inevitably turns their back on them as public opinion shifts against the war and feckless leaders come to the realization that they simply do not have the resources to supply Ukraine in a protracted, higher intensity conflict. This is a disaster in the making
Shame on the Biden Administration for blocking a cease fire and negotiated settlement in the earliest days of the conflict when there was serious room to negotiate
