How do you know?
millions of pounds of lethal toxins?
From 3 tank cars?
Because vets have been testing for vinyl chloride exposure in animals that have died. That is according to the owners as well as the Columbiana County Humane Society.
Do you have a link?

Up to two and a half million gallons of one of the most toxic substances known to man have been released into the air, water and soil of the Eastern Seaboard, and are presently making their way south and east.

34,500 US gallons per rail tanker times 20 railcars (using the highest number I’ve seen) with hazardous materials = 690,000 gallons.

Water is about 8 lbs a gallon.
Don’t know how much this stuff weighs, but even at 5 lbs a gallon that would be about 3 million + pounds.
Just a guess though.
That writer needs to check his math. There 5 cars with vinyl chloride derailed. Tank car has a capacity of around 30,000 gallons makes around 150,000 gallons. Very bad, but not like this article says.
I’ll take your word for it .
EPA measures my tailpipe
but has a vinyl chloride
bon fire .
Duplicity
costs us , not them.
