Here is an interesting weapon that sounds awesome.

You know you’ve lost the debate when your first response is to curse someone out, followed by, a fallacious appeal to authority to hide the fact you cannot respond in a logical way to whomever you are debating with.

DeSantis maybe problematic then.

Agreed.

“ I don’t see how Japan can say no” (to basing LRHWs)

I guess it was coordinated long before the official request phase came around.

“The commander of the GRU/GU’s 14th Spetsnaz Brigade, Colonel Sergey Polyakov, was reportedly killed”

There is a very long lead time to produce such people.

Like the massive stockpiles of Soviet weapons and war materiel, the European natural gas market share, or the Russian National Wealth Fund; Putin is burning through Russia’s assets at an incredibly unsustainable rate. He enables the Western “rope a dope” Strategy to demilitarize and bleed dry the mafia State that Putin has made out of Russia.

It is a horrible thing to have to go through for the world, but mad dogs have to be put down.

I believe that "such people" would include Forward Air Controllers (FACs).

In an earlier post, you mentioned that RU would lose the ability to conduct Close Air Support (CAS) missions.

While trained pilots and aircraft are required for CAS, poorly trained FACs are deadly, as in fratricide.

FACs operate at or near the front lines.

They are certainly being killed any time an attack fails.

Good point. I wonder if there is a way to target them, to speed that process along?

The FACs would be transmitting on radio frequencies used by aircraft. If a FAC is controlling an aircraft, then direction finding equipment would get you in the ballpark.

I would bet we have some very sophisticated equipment that could accurately spot any ground transmitter within a couple of yards.

Maybe NATO would prefer an end state with fewer remaining Russian combat airframes, rather than a speedier end, with more remaining.
