“But, the leftist dogma in the United States is all races have exactly the same potential in exactly the same ways.”
See post 19 regarding that. Wonder if you agree...
You access me wrong.
I’m a very mixed breed. Scott/Irish, German, Swedish ancestry. But that is not the determining factor. I married my first wife in 1971, she died in 2018. We had a wonderful life together.
I married again 2 years ago. Another winner. We both agree that only god could have put us together.
It was not about pedigree. It was about heart and mind.
Nuke’s?
My father-in-law was in the weapons industry for 40 years. He made them, he was a division manager for 7 of those 40 years. He was an EE by training and an Intelligence officer in the 82nd Airborne.
His grandmother was 100% Comanche Indian.
It’s actually the best predictor of success that psychologists have. Not perfect, of course, and as noted not directly what it is intended to convey.
I disagree.
But, there is a clear cleavage point for those who want chaos and destruction in society.
“I disagree.”
I’m curious, which points that I made do you disagree with.
And by the way, I don’t mean to imply that significant differences in IQ between easily identifiable groups is the only source for discord, it is one of them, but probably the most difficult to overcome.
Another potential source of societal discord is groups with diametrically opposed cultural values, such as, for example, between Islam and Christianity or Judaism.
Another one is between radicals and conservatives.
I disagree with your assumptions.
What is "menial" and why is that considered "bad"?
How do you measure "success in life"? Many do not consider earnings or large houses the most important.
There used to be a consensus about material possessions being only one measure, with morality, integrity, honesty, being just as important.
Those are cultural values, and can be regained in a culture.
Statistical differences are often overcome in individual cases.
“What is “menial” and why is that considered “bad”?”
You’re being awfully disingenuous.
You know quite well what menial jobs are. Things like cleaning crews at airports, janitors, dishwashers, waiters, etc. The lower paying jobs.
If you’re black and you see that most of those jobs are held disproportionately by blacks generation after generations, meanwhile professional, high paying jobs are mostly held by whites (or more and more asians) you might start wondering what’s up with that, no? Especially when you’re told over and over that on AVERAGE there are no differences between races.
Also, I’m sure you’re aware that because black kids do worse in school, they’re given points for just being blacks, and asians are deducted points because they dominate the analytical subjects. All that in order to close the “performance gap” between the races... because after all there are no differences between races.
A day doesn’t go by that you don’t hear race pimping organization complaining about “under-representation” by blacks here and there, and over there - places like better schools or the higher paying jobs of corporations. So now many universities are doing away with SATs to artificially increase the “representation” of the unqualified, and companies have institutionalized DIE programs and set up quotas to avoid getting terrorized by all the social justice warriors.
What do you think the source of all these insanities is if not the acute awareness of the very significant and real differences in the level of success among the races on the part of the blacks themselves and all the guilt-ridden, do-gooder, equity-mongering whites (they are actually the biggest problem) that create all these programs that are only going to make things worse.
As a side note, blacks perform very well in sports and entertainment, but I don’t see whites complaining about a performance gap and demanding that there be a quota of white professional basketball players.
Bottom line...
The source of all the racial strife can be laid down at the feet of one false assumption - a kind of feel-good, noble lie. That assumption being...
“All races on AVERAGE are the same”
And as long as that false assumption is accepted, things are only going to get worse.
A nuke in the navy is a job title, such as a nuclear mechanic, a nuclear electrician or a nuclear electronics technician. Sometimes officers are considered as well, such as a Nuclear Officer. The primary job is not weapons handling, but operation of Nuclear Power Plants. For the enlisted side, it is 4 years of college pushed into 1.5 years of intensive military training. The officer program is considered the third most difficult academic program in the United States, with the enlisted program ranking at number 4. These are the two most difficult academic programs within the entire military, regardless of branch.
In general, the navy and other branches require that their personnel have sufficient IQ or capacity to learn before they may take any job. Another field requiring high IQ is the various crypto or language learning programs. Those in intelligence have to be pretty smart as well. People can whine all day about IQ scores, but the US military uses them all the time, with sufficient success. The US military is also exempted from the Americans with Disabilities Act, in part for such reasons.
As far as race goes, I’m not certain about that. Intelligence is inherited for the large part, and probably impacted by the circumstantial environment of your birth, but not necessarily your wealth or other inequitable factors people wish to claim today. I believe the correlary between childhood IQ and adult IQ is somewhere around .71, which is pretty high. Some people claim that it is entirely an environmental factor, but I don’t buy it. Children born in the 50s were much poorer than today’s kids and yet evidence is showing that the average person was smarter. Whats the proof? The SAT has readjusted its formats and scores at least twice since the early 90s, and MENSA has dropped many of these styled tests from its eligible qualifying tests. Environmental factors likely include conditions such as having a father in the home and your mother not being on drugs, home life stability, discipline in the home, etc. But a lot of evidence is pointing to IQ as inherited, specifically from your mother, and it probably doesn’t matter the color of your parent’s skin as much as it matters the IQ of your parent regardless of that skin color. Ben Carson is a great example. His mother couldn’t read, but it did not mean that she is stupid. Ben Carson’s mother is probably a very bright woman, irrespective of her race or education level. The average IQ for Ashkenazi Jews I believe has been documented at somewhere around 122, but is that because these people choose to be an isolated breeding population?
IQ is important, is inherited, is affected by your childhood environment.
It’s always a better choice to look at the ability of the individual versus making stereotypes based on their racial background, and I agree, using IQ as a basis for eugenics overlooks the individual merit of all people. There is more to a person than just their IQ. Are they kind? Are they hard working? Are they nefarious? Do they possess a talent? Individuality matters. And even if you are smart, you can’t know everything.
My niece’s husband is soon to retire from the Navy. He began as a crypto operator. Made 2 trips to the sandpile. Was in Falluja during some of the worst of the roadside bombing, he did a tour at Ft. Meade, Navy with NSA.
He plans to retire in a year.
I did not serve in the Navy, but ran a Navy/Marine Corp MARS station out of my home from 1976-1995.
Have been a Ham Op since 1976(Advanced) and passed my Extra in 1985. GROL Commercial License in 2000.
I’ve known some amazing engineers and technicians. Spent 14 years in NM. A lot of my friends there worked at the Labs and Military bases. We did some amazing projects back before Cell Phones and the Web. Built mountaintop remote bases. Solar powered.
I did a lot of work at radiation and nuke facilities at NM national labs. Many of the staff were nuclear navy vets. Absolutely first rate. Then management got on the kick of having a pHD for every technical spot possible. (I applied for a position that I had 20 years practical experience in and never heard back, I guess my philosophy degree didn’t impress them). Once the navy guys started retiring the ability to get anything done went to complete crap.
