Laxalt is gone so if Walker loses which l think is very likely Biden has an open field to pack the court and add DC and Puerto Rico as states and the Green New Deal nightmare too. This election really was our last chance and thank the GOPe for accepting the 20 steal to set this up.

Trump, to his credit, taught us how to run nationally without having to compromise with the Establishment. Run on his model, but without the mean tweets, and someone like DeSantis, Youngkin, or any Republican wins. You just have to learn how to run around the Establishment-media echo chamber.
As long as DeSantis and Youngkin don’t become beholden to the establishment. And it won’t be that easy to do.
That's always been my problem, not with Trump, but with the Trumpkins. You can't say so much as "I don't like that tie with that suit" or they'll jump down your throat trying to destroy you.
I want the best candidate, one who can win and will stand for our values. Maybe that's Trump; maybe it's DeSantis; maybe it's someone else. I don't know. But it's abotu the ideas and not the personalities, and this blind attachemnt to everything Trump says or does -- like the 0bama personality cult -- is harmful.
Also, the president who gave us “fifteen days to stop the spread” — and attacked other governors for re-opening too early — shouldn’t be attacking DeSantis for locking down when with DeSantis, it really was a short-term thing and “fifteen days to stop the spread” turned into at least 730 days or more.
And if her were gracious enough to say that they’re building on the foundation he laid, nobody would mind his ego so much.
Something on the order of “My administration did great things; we laid a great foundation to Make America Great Again. Governors like Ron DeSantis and Glenn Youngkin are building on that foundation and making their states great again. I’m proud of the work they’re doing” would get Trump’s “I built this” point across while building up, rather than tearing down, Republican governors who are carrying his work forward.
I’m over him as well. He’s acting childish going after good candidates from our party. I want him to work in the background- not run again. If he and DeSantis decide to run in 2024 it will split the vote and we will lose, again.
Article about Trump not spending his money on candidates as well. How selfish was it for Trump to do the same?
With an insanely unpopular President, compared to Obama’s mid term shellacking? Yes, it’s a failure.
We will never know
You support the nominee the week before the election. If DeSantis had endorsed O’Dea in the primary, that would be concerning. But he was trying to win an extra GOP seat. We could really use that right about now.
I feel the same and there needs to be an honest and open debate on the issues, all our candidates' successes and failures, and their health before we decide who the nominee in 2024 will be. To expect a coronation for 2024 before the 2022 election is even over is ridiculous.
No argument from me that the Dems are far worse than Trump.
” Run on his model, but without the mean tweets, and someone like DeSantis, Youngkin, or any Republican wins. You just have to learn how to run around the Establishment-media echo chamber.”
Right. You just have to learn how to win without the media and how to not be beholden to the GOP or their mega-donors.
Good luck with that.
O'Dea shouldn't have trashed the "titular head" of our party on TV a week before the election. It hurt our long list of candidates endorsed by our titular head and it apparently didn't stop O'Dea from losing big.. There is plenty of time after the election to choose and reject presidential candidates.
Would I still vote for O'Dea? Probably.
Would I endorse O'Dea without adding a qualifier. Probably not.
I certainly wouldn't say that I'm "impressed" with him.
It’s the timing that’s the problem. Trump sometimes speaks when he ought to hold his fire.
I addressed the timing issue in my last post.
O'Dea's poor timing trashing Trump and by extension Trump's long list of MAGA candidates.
DeSantis several days later saying that he was impressed with O'Dea.
