Desantis is a good man. I live in Florida. Am active in Florida politics. My family here all voted for him. That said, in the primaries here in Florida President Trump would win out over Desantis fairly easily.
Desantis hasn’t an ounce of the Charisma that President Trump oozes. Desantis came within a whisker of losing to a mayor with a very sketchy background but had a far more charismatic personality and a higher level of likeability than the governor.
As Cruz discovered national politics is about FAR MORE than political positions. This is a fact far too many Conservatives appear to simply not understand. You’d think after Reagan this would not be so but, it is an unfortunate fact.
O’Dummy is a RINO. The timing is suspect. Ron didn’t just wake up one day and say today would be a good day to endorse O’Dummy. It was a political move.
