Our county has a system that provides the best of both worlds-- a machine to mark your ballot, print it out and take it over to a scanner which counts it electronically, dropping the printed ballot (which the voter has the opportunity to review before scanning) into a sealed lock box which will be open and counted manually if scanned in results are challenged.

We also voted for DJT by over a 2-1 margin.

This is the single issue that needed to be hammered since day 1. The 2020 election should have been attacked on the ground that it was unreliable, not stolen. More people would have paid attention to a forward looking argument that wasn't drowned out by a backwards-looking one.

Instead, we've had this broken record refrain about how the election was stolen, which a lot of people tuned out. That's the truth whether you want to admit it or not.

Trump, as great as he is, failed to address voting crimes after the 2016 election. Huge failure. He could have dealt with each state legislature. Terrible shame.

How is Cheating NOT POSSIBLE, no matter what is tried? Decreasing cheating will be possible, but not getting rid of cheating 100%, unfortunately. There will, always, be new ways to cheat that will be created. Cheating v.s. Non-Cheating will be a never ending war. This is an ongoing problem, worldwide.

That's true, but we can make it much harder and therefore less prevalent. We need to get rid of no-escuses mail-in balloting, and any absentee ballot that doesn't arrive by Election Day is not valid regardless of when it was sent. We need to get back to having elections where the result is known the night of - or early morning at the latest. This crap about counting dragging in for two weeks is ridiculous.
