Many years ago Dennis Prager, on his old radio show interviewed self proclaimed Native American activist who was demanding that team names such as Indians, Black Hawks, Chiefs, etc. be changed. He asked Praeger how he'd like it if there were a team called the Texas Jewboys. Praeger laughed hysterically and said he'd be overjoyed because FINALLY after 5000 years someone would be cheering for us.

They used to give away baseball tickets to students if you got straight As in school.

Some nights they were lucky to get a couple thousand people in the seats.

Yup. I'm a long-time Tribe fan, former season ticket holder...and haven't gone to or even watched a game all year. Every year was hope that the Tribe would win it all. But now, that can never happen.

Yep they prefer Nats and Capitals games apparently with Wizards in 3rd place I guess. Plus FedEx Field is located in the wrong location. Way out in the middle of the ghetto in PG County. Other teams are right there in D.C.

It is the team that I always refer to as the Cleveland formerly-known as the Indians. I'm hoping that the woke people won't notice that I'm mocking them.
