Right.
Hence, the liquefied natural gas terminal, export and import
Exactly!
A possibility is that certain elements in the US government didn't want Germany to get any ideas of using "Nordstrom" 1 or 2 this winter.
Important German voices were discussing that scenario.
Didn't realize it was a contractual thing.
A. “Nord Stream 1 has not been supplying gas to Europe since late August after Moscow announced the pipeline would be closed for three days for maintenance.”
B. ”The new Nord Stream 2 pipeline was completed earlier this year but had not entered commercial operations.”
Lots of info there.
Nord Stream 1 was down over the Siemens-Canadian government turbines kerfluffle.
Nord Stream 2 was ready to go - filled with product - but was never activated.
Hence, German political types were talking about activating Nordstream 2.
Is this a impeachable offense?....
Start a war with Russia, money laundering billions thru Ukraine, causing high inflation and high energy prices etc.
Ahhh, but you left out the best part of starting a war, you can criminalize all dissent.
Someone pointed out...the depth here in the area, is just 70 meters (230 ft). Could easily have been just one single fanatic with some WW III agenda on his mind. Funny how they were 15 hours apart (doubt if it was a timer-device).
It’s a coincidence!
C’mon man!
(not that Joe emphasized it a second time...oh wait...)
I figured Russia would blame Israel, and then invade Israel, starting WWIII and the End Times...
Iran will probably take a shot at Israel, and then Ezekiel 38 will happen.
Meanwhile, I’m wondering if NATO and Russia will be at combat - in some form, before the midterms.
Somehow, Russia will be drawn into allying with Iran during Ezekiel 38.
But who knows.
If it’s below easy scuba depth, it’s almost certainly a nation-state. ROVs are cheaper than they used to be, but placing mines at depth requires testing.
So, cui bono?
Or, perhaps it’s better to ask not who benefits but who has a leadership that thinks they’d benefit, or has a military or intelligence service that is loosely-enough controlled to think they’d benefit?
One thing, though, the Baltic is a fairly constrained body of water. Nobody is sneaking submarines into it, and surface ships are tracked. There aren’t many nations of the world for whom operating even a civilian ship in the area wouldn’t be red flag.
It could have been the US, but my money would be on Poland.
Iran has it’s own problems to deal with for now.
Keep watching them.
And Libya. And Sudan. Among others.
Iran is on my twice daily update list. ;-)
:)
Spot on.....why wud Vlad sacrifice his best hands, for nothing much.....
He was bad news for the Soviet Citizens also. Just about every Soviet family had at least member who was either imprisoned or executed by the Communists.
