FAKE NEWS! Since anyone WITH A BRAIN knows that EVs are not meant for towing.
I’ll stick with my stupid aluminum f-150 with the rice burner engine.
Maybe, just maybe if he had turned off the radio.....
There is NOTHING wrong with a 60 deg V-6, twin turbo, electronically controlled engine.
Especially if one lives and drives at Altitude.
I didn’t write the article.
I guess I was kidding. It does alright but it lugs when I have my four wheeler in the back. I get about 23 mpg Highway. I wouldn’t want to pull a trailer.
I’m on my second one. [3.5l vs. the 2.7l previous one]
Both pull a ~6500 lb. trailer up a ~4% grade @65 mph @ 4,000 ft. just fine.
Amazing really.
great if you forget how to make a fire...
I guess the turbos are doing their thang.
Altitude performance compensation.
Nothing like maintaining max. manifold pressure as the air thins out.
YMMV....
On a truck, nothing beats a V8, unless it’s a six cylinder Diesel.
I’ve never had to walk down the highway to fetch back a gallon of electricity.
:)
Is that joe Biden?
Then the small print:
"*Based on manufacturer testing using computer engineering simulations. Calculated via peak performance of the electric motor(s) at peak battery power. Your results may vary."
The tow hook is just for style.
BTT!!
I have a 2010 standard cab F-150 5.4 triton. 300,000 MI and going strong. Plus 20 gas mileage over 350 horsepower. 430 gears. It’s a runner. Best truck I ever owned. Nothing but maintenance repairs.
Here...Here!!!
Ecoboost doesn’t have the beef for long term use.
