I stopped supporting the NRA when Oliver North resigned. I fear the NRA is now a corrupt organization. I don’t plan to support it ever again.
As do I. Wish they'd thought to archive his "hotline" telephone message recordings from back in the 1980s and 1990s. They'd be instructive to a lot of younger pro-gun people who don't remember those times.
LaPierre actually did a good job back then, rallying the membership against the policies of Bush 41 and Clinton. In recent years, though, it's a damned good thing that other pro-RKBA organizations have flourished and gained power. It seems like Wayne is going to stay right where he is until they carry him out feet-first; hopefully the NRA will be smart enough to revitalize itself at that point, Until then, it seems to be a spent force.
