I don’t understand how people have so many issues understanding this.

If no one gets 50%+, then the least voted candidate is eliminated, and all those votes are then voted as their next choice.
Repeat until someone reaches 50%+.

Not sure how this really helps elect Dems in Alaska, as all it does is basically eliminate third parties, and the vote ends up being between the two strongest candidates. No different than if the only ones running was a Repub and a Dem. It eliminates the need for the cost, delay, and pain of having runoff elections.

I don’t really care about it one way or the other (aside from the easy machine shenanigans from it), but if we gotta have it, one improvement would be for each ‘next choice’ to have 50% of the voting power as the previous. (2nd choice is 50%, third is 25%)
