Right, the RNC Chairman has no such governing authority. It is the typical complete, total nonsense from TGP and the Hofts to suggest otherwise. Of course, pointing out this simple reality would mean you are “praising” McDaniel.
I can’t find where McDaniel was even on Varney’s show. If she was there, her interview was omitted from the archive on his website. She said “4 seats” per this article - “4 seats” in what? The House? The Senate? Makes a big difference.

The only thing I have seen that the RNC did, which was within their legal abilities, was in one case in Wisconsin the RNC files an amicus brief in support of plaintiffs challenging the Wisconsin elections authorities from making rules (concerning drop boxes) that were/are not supported by Wisconsin law. There may have been other occassions where the RNC did that INDIRECT type of action, but I have just not looked for it or noticed it off hand.
